E3 2012 (Discution)

Plus, how would you not expect a club in a DMC game?
There's mention of clubs in the manga, and in DMC3 Dante goes through a bar (an empty bar but a bar/pub nonetheless) so if there's mention of prostitutes and booze in the original series, and Dante's constant 'party' lines, why would you be surprised to see an actual club in the game? Unless you've never been into the manga and novels and anime, I can see why it wouldn't make you think 'DMC' when you see the club scene. But still, NT followed through with Capcom's 'hints' that Dante is a party animal. I'd say Dante fits in a club scene.
Also, you have demons chasing after Dante through churches, so what's wrong with a roach attacking him at a club?

I'd expect him to be at a biker bar not a rave.

You are easily irked.

can you name any other game who has pasted that on all of it's trailers? I seems cowardly to me. It's obviously a work in progress but so is the footage in every other videogame trailer ever, why do only a hand full of them say that?

think of it in this way DmC as you may know is based on social satire. Many of the references made in the trailer the brainwashing media to the corrupt banking system are based on real life. Now Mundus isn't going to be depicted as a floating tentacle monster right from the start; this game will most likely attack corrupt billionaires and politicians, thus, the new Mundus design.

And for arguments sake lets say he the design IS stupid. Its all probably a ploy by Mundus. You honestly think that the battle against Mundus is going to be dante vs him in a suit, of course not odds are he is going to transform into a demon. But in order to keep and tight hold on his empire he has to be seen and listened to.

I'm sorry but i just don't find it very creative to make him a billionare who directly affects the world, it's uninteresting to me. I find the darker supernatural approach to influence of the world of man the more appealing and the harder one to pull of.

First of all, I'm really happy about the release of new trailer and screen caps! :D

Oh, I think you guys know it already but I just wanted to share it.
See the mark in Mundus forehead, it resembles the mark from DMC1 and 3, so after all they are keeping previous DMC's elements!!!

You realize those marks are upside down right? I find that funny.

well i guess it's interesting to think about when your politically aware and stuff (not saying that you aren't) then this Mundus seems more powerful and dangerous since people are unaware of the fact that they are being controlled and manipulated(much like today).
And i have to argue that the dark supernatural force is not harder to pull off its used in almost every game, hell Mini Ninjas used that.

I think its safe to say that the man with the mask and white hair is the same guy who spoke to Dante in the Captivate gameplay. He is hiding his voice and face, hence the "Mundus doesn't know I exist" dialogue.

I find it hilarious that people are so intolerant of other's opinions simply because they do not like DmC. And it is for that reason I will not be stating how I think this game is going from bad to worse because I'll just get chewed up for it. Never mind how both sides are needed to keep a well rounded outlook on the game. Ah well. You kids have fun.

Calm yourself. No one will think worse of you for thinking that the game has gotten worse.

I can see the negative aspects as well as the positive ones for myself without having someone point them out to me.

I for one, do not like the fact that this game is linear and has Quicksilver in lieu of a true devil trigger. I never use DT, but I don't see why, as it didn't need to be taken out in the first place.

See? I can find a balanced viewpoint on my own.

And yes, we will have fun. Loads of it.

did no one notice the cross on his forehead? it could be some damn good facial expersions but to me it looks like he has a cross right in the middle of his forehead.....
That would actually be 3 eyes tattooed to his forhead and some shadows making that look like a cross but isn't.

I agree with Meg. I think we all have worries about this game. I for one am worried the game will be too easy and that the bosses won't be as memorable. Not only that, I'm not a big of the immature Dante and I'm afraid that he won't mature.

We also need to work on our tolerance of other people's opinion on DmC. It is after all, only a video game.
