do you wear eyeliner? do you dye your hair black and have a really long gelled fringe which you have combed over one of your eyes? do you have the phsique of a female runway model despite being male? do you lack any form of athletcism and thus hate sports?

you cant truely be a fan of the other dmc games if you are loving this one, and you have been loving it from the very beggining, since that very first trailer, it's cringe worthy even thinking about it

tell me, do you actually like the other dmc games?

Grow up, kid.

I lol'd at this. Hard. Sorry but this right here is the biggest fail post of this thread so far. Presuming you are not simply being deeply sarcastic, of course. I've got to say here that I am sick of hearing so-and-so can't possibly be a true fan of a gaming series or franchise just because they happen to like a new direction or character which seemingly flies in the face of the tradition followed by said series/franchise.
lol Agreed. After reading the detailed gameplay analysis of DmC, I can safely say I'm quite satisfied.

Wish I could wear skinny jeans :(

Anywho, only thing I'm going to say about this now is that I don't expect any more ridiculous posts like Heatlancer's - flame bait is still bait so let's all try not to get hooked on it.

Your wish is my command...No wait, I'm not a genie, what was I thinking? =/

It's easy to get yourself hooked sometimes. It's good to know when to just leave it though. I wouldn't of discussed things further. Sometimes there's just no reasoning with some people.

Dante from DMC3 also had a fringe and "emoish" haircut, didn't he?

Now tell me he didn't.

it's worse in dmc1, i blame the anime influence
in dmc3 or any dmc really his hair was never much to my liking, but it's not parted to one side, it's just untouched
it's the personality and the way the character carries himself(probabley should be thanking langdon)

if you like
article-1284652832979-0B3718A1000005DC-904975_304x225.jpg

that over any character in majority of games, then you are probabley a little disturbed and/or cut your self

I don't really know if they were going for the Emo effect with Dante's hair, but I don't really think it personally matters either way whether or not they were or they weren't. I mean, at the end of the day it's just hair. It's either that or a huge afro. I mean, Dante's hair doesn't define his character. I think if you judge someone's appearance over their character, then you'll miss the point of the character. Most people say that Nero looks stupid because he looks similar to Dante. But at the end of the day, Nero is a totally different character altogether. If you dislike Nero just for the small fact that his hair is the same colour and he wears the same sort of clothes, then you're not really giving the character a chance.

I mean, you could think that this 'new' Dante looks awful. But you just stated that you didn't much care for how Dante looked in Devil May Cry. So why does it matter now what he looks like, just because it's DmC. I'm not going against your opinion, I'm just curious to know your reasons.

it's because he looks emo, his hair is shaved on the sides, and he's got a big ass parted fringe(that's your typical emo hairstyle, atleast from what i've seen), along with a pale, veiny face, he smokes and looks like sh*t(refering to clothing and how he takes care of himself), he doesn't seem to shower neither

now why do YOU like this design?

p.s oh and he's also thin as sht, typical of a drug addict

You are aware that Ninja Theory redesigned his image, right? I hate how he looked when they first showed him to us. I never said I liked it. And each to their opinion. If that's how you feel, I respect that.

Poor ignorant heatlancer...
If anyone in the DMC franchis is emo, it would be Nero. And when I say emo, I don't mean those who wear the style, but the true definition of an emo.

Emo is short for "emotional", and that is indeed what Nero is. He's whining, hates his life and hates the world he's in, and he seems like he is on the verge of crying most of the time.

A hairut does not make you emo. Your behaviour does. And Nero's behaviour fits the description.

To those who consider themselves emo's due to your style in fashion - this was not pointed at you guys.

I'm thin and I'm not drug addict???
p.s his fringe isn't too big anyways, was bigger in DMC3 :D
His hair is not SHAVED on sides it would be mohawk haircut then, it's just shorter.
Ok, I'm just blabling about haircuts....

I thought he was punk rock not emo:confused:

edit: with all the demons in the government and what not, and he seems to be rebelling so....punk rock anyone?

if you havent noticed they redesigned Dante again after people were b***hin about how beat up he was and skinny and no white hair (having ur ass kicked in the face, alot, isnt wearing makeup... its called bruises)

and why are we talking about hair style?
if it bothers you that much, this early in time, i beg you not to buy it

Indeed, the new Dante has the appearance of a modern punk.

But how you dress or look like does not define who you are. Just because you wear a hoodie does not mean you are a gangsta rapper. Just because you wear a longcoat doesn't mean you are into vampires. Just because you got long hair and got a beard doesn't mean you are a Satanist.

I can't believe there are still so many ignorant and narrowminded kids in this day and age... I blame the parents! (going Freudian on your ass.) ;P

And that could explain smoking and his rebellious nature.
Wearing those leather boots and skinny jeans really fits punk rock theme.
Modern punks are often misunderstood with emos.

Alternative styles are often misunderstood overall.
If it isn't mainstream, it must be something weird. Typical judgemental behaviour.

And yes, I understand the irony of that statement.
