Resident Evil 5 And DmC Devil May Cry Are Still Selling

Capcom’s most recent games, Monster Hunter 4 and Dead Rising 3, are doing well for the company, having moved 4 million and 1 million copies respectively. That said, while it is important for new games to sell well, it’s just as important for the older ones to continue selling and reaching out to more and more people.

In this regard, a number of Capcom’s titles have been doing reasonably well. For instance, back in October, we reported that Resident Evil 5 was Capcom’s highest-selling game ever, and had moved 6.5 million copies worldwide. Since then, it has sold another 100,000 copies, and is now at 6.6 million worldwide, as of December 31st, 2013.

Meanwhile, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate has continued to sell over the past year, too. Back in October, the game was at 2.2 millon copies sold. That figure has increased to 2.3 million as of December 31st, which means 3 Ultimate sold another 100,000 in three months. One would imagine that the majority of those sales came from the west, since Japan has been busy with Monster Hunter 4.

Looking to a slightly more recent game, sales of DmC Devil May Cry are at 1.4 million. Back in May, sales of the game were at 1.1 million, so DmC has moved another 300,000 copies since. Finally, sales of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City are at 2.3 million

The fanbots are probably screaming, "Didn't our 'recommendations' to not play it and threats of violence stop people from buying this crap game??"

Too bad, Entitled Elitists. Better luck next time.

Probably not that much more... not even if it came with VD and BP for both Dante and Vergil.

Vergil being playable in Dante's campaign might sway things a little, though.

If they do make a SE, then NT could improve on a few things.

-Faster gameplay
-Higher FPS due to the PS4/XBOXOne's capabilities.
-More costumes for Vergil along with VD being part of the SE.
-improved mechanics
Harder enemies

I mean look at what Sam D has done with DmC for the PC.

Oh no it can't be the DmC haters could it? If it isn't, then guess who it is!

New fans.

Aw s*** New New!

Streisand effect. Tell people not to do something and they'll do it. Explains why certain books like Candide succeeded. It's all part of our wonderful and horrible nature as incompetent human beings...

DON'T TOUCH THE RED BUTTON!

-Remove colour coded BS enemies
-LDK mode
-Actual difficulty scaling; DMD really isn't DMD compared to 4, 3, and certainly not 1
-MORE VERGIL. DOES CAPCOM NOT UNDERSTAND THE AMOUNT OF MONEY FANS ARE WILLING TO THROW AT VERGIL? ANY VERGIL. VERGIL!

While I'm on a wish list rant; DmC2 or DMC5 - NON CANON BLOODY PALACE. Last level is Vergil, Nelo Angelo, Credo, and Dante simultaneously.

-I'd agree in getting rid of those asshats, but then again they could just make it where you could hit them with any weapon, but they won't die as fast if you hit them with the wrong mode.

-I never played DMC4 on PC so I don't know how LDK is.

-I just said harder enemies dude, read.

-Thus why I said Vergil added in with the SE.

That's a pretty cool request, but also think about it through a standard gamer's perspective. Just because you can jump cancel doesn't mean everyone else can.

The awesomeness that is LDK mode.

Just making DMD enemies harder would be better than nothing, but I think it should scale in difficulty properly. As is it now I'd say make Human like DH, DH like Nephilim, Nephilim like SoS and SoS like DMD - and make DMD spawn 2x as many enemies and make them more aggressive, whilst keeping the current damage values.

That was less aimed at you and just surprise on my part that they haven't cashed in yet, like they did with DMC3:SE. Vergil in the main game and BP? That's a guaranteed buy for most fans.

Am I the the only one that finds this statement revolting? I may not be the bigest DmC soporter but I find the prospect of it selling half as well as Operation Raccoon City down right bull$#¡t.
