DMC4: SE Petition

When I signed it didn't even have a 100 , now it has nearly 300, more then half way to 500, give it time to spread.
That's fair. I still don't think 500 is a substantial number, or even a thousand. Not when the goals of sales number in the hundreds of thousands or even millions, but maybe with enough support it will help to release a limited retail version.

That's right. I forgot about customs.

If you want to import you are going to basically be flipping a coin that costumes decides your package isn't in someway shape or form counter band. I've never had any problems, personally, but I have heard of people who've had their purchase held and they were made to just accept it or just through a serious number of hoops to the point where they almost make it not worth all the effort to get their item.

It's not like everyone who knows about the game is going to know that this petition exists. Even among people who are paying close attention and want a physical release, I know a few that have just given up on the game entirely and don't want to hear about it anymore, and they certainly don't know about this.

A petition is always going to garner far less signatures than the amount of people who care about it, especially when they have to give away identifying information like a name. Given the time we've known about this and the percentage of people who would have heard of it, the current amount of signatures is actually a bit higher than I would have expected.

Really ? how did they go about importing where they had to worry about customs ?

Over here it's food items that's risky like that, with non-food items you still have a chance to get them, but they'll make you pay ransom if you ever want to see them again, and that can get quite pricey.

@GabrielXx
They took chances or didn't import. Take into account that online shopping is a modern day thing, so laws are still quite old-fashioned about importing and a lot of folks didn't even know until it was too late.
I think getting it sent from a friend ups one's chances, as opposed to getting it from an official source. Of course, you have to first have a friend in that country.

I'd guess US and Mexico. There probably isn't that much that gets held by Mexican customs but it does happen.

I do know that Amazon.jp will not sell certain video games to any address outside of Japan, or at least they didn't back a few years ago so if that's still in effect that might be one shop not to rely on.

has anyone ever had any problems with sites like play-asia ? they seem to have a good track record

@Viper i could not see myself getting food from japan anytime soon and i'm a vegan so packaged foods are a big no no for me anyway. the only thing i ever imported was years ago it was a copy of famisu with the RE4 demo for gamecube before the game came out and i played that thing to death.

Never heard any about them. Just shipping cost, I think.
ya i just saw the shipping cost and it was around 20 bucks for me and they spoke about customs on the site as well i live in the Us so i'm just looking into everything right now. i am going to try and go for the LE of the game if i can. play-asia even said they try to make it clear what the package is and such when going through customs.

Well, I know some people like to import sweets from Japan, since they are cute and come with more variety, but sugar is usually more acceptable cause it's a preservative in itself, for example hard candy has shelf life of two years.
But like I said, non-food items, like video games, are perfectly okay. You just risk of being the unlucky one to pay a moderately big amount on top of what you already paid for the product and shipping cost.

Did you see the collectors edition, too? It's $120. Add to that the shipping and handling.

yup 140 bucks but i'm getting the witcher 3 a month before and that one is 10 bucks more then this one lol i don't mind as long as i can get it now if i pay that and can't i will be pretty upset so that's why i am checking everything i can. dose anyone know if the normal one for 35 is coming with the lady and Trish DLC ?

@Viper well in that case to be safe i might just get the normal one in the chance i might be hit with another fee but i don't think i would have to worry about that with the Us.

I don't know how it is in US, I was talking about my country and why people here can't just casually import things.

@Viper I'm sorry to hear about that i hope you can get your hands on the game. how is it over there ? i am still pretty unaware about how it is here so lol

But at least the people who sign it feel good.
