Some people just really like the idea of Dante and trish dating because of their close relationship and her status in the DMC universe.
But some never stop to think about how truly weird and wrong it would be for Dante to date Trish who looks exactly like his deceased mom.
Trish's main defining trait is that she looks like Eva if you take that away she is a compleatly different charicter. As different as DmC Dante he still has the defining traits of the original. So I don't think Ninja Theory is going to just use names from Devil May Cry without some effort to make the new versions similar to the originals.
I know Trish looks like Dantes mother Eva but she isn't Eva. She is Trish. Her personality and everything is completely different. I know i would never date my mom, cause thats just wrong... in so many ways.... But Trish's main defining trait is she is a liar and would have got her ass killed if she didn't "help" Dante. Its nice to know that she has an amazing body, but the last thing i think about is she looks like Dante's mom. They don't really even look the same. Eva wears a big robe and she has a huge side bang hair cut and Trish wears leather, lots of leather.. lots and lots and lots....of leather. And very tight leather.. and a pair of sunglasses. Nothing alike. Eva and Trish look as much alike as Nero and Dante.

I wonder if Dante will open (or has opened) Devil May Cry yet. And if it is in this game, how will it be portrayed? Maybe some underground organization or just a small business like in previous installments. Seeing how Limbo City is controlled by Demons it be kinda hard to open a shop strictly for killing Demons, hence maybe making it a underground organization.

1.the entire reason Mundus created Trish is to have a demon that looks like Eva. The first important thing we learn about her is that she looks like Eva. The reason Dante saved her life is because she looks like Eva. The reason Dante gave her Force Edge is that she looks like Eva. The reason Dante made her his partner at Devil May Cry is ... I could do this all day literally everything about Trish comes from the fact that she looks like Eva. It's the entire reason she exists how is that not her defining trait.
2. Trish does not dress like Eva did in that one picture Dante had on his desk but that does not change the fact that Trish is physically identical to Eva.
3. People generally do not have sex with people who look like their mom, ever, even if she is a compleatly different person. Dante and Vergil could not think of Trish as someone to have a romantic or sexual relationship with. Would you have sex with someone who looks identical to your mom.
I think NT is just taking the original concept of DMC, and throwing it into a blender with a mix of whatever they feel like.

Trish looks "different" as far as style and apparel goes, but, as far as physical appearance goes she was made to be IDENTICAL to Eva which means that yes, she does look exactly like Dante's mom.
All Trish really did was basically become a giant makeover of Dante's mom Eva with the skimpy leather and different hairstyle. But you have to ask yourself, If you mom simply started to act WAY differently and started to dress and style herself in a different manner than your accustomed to, would you still consider her "different" enough to be datable?
Well the girls I've dated don't come close to looking like my mom. She's the complete opposite actually. But ifshe was like 21 in her prime and a clone and was completely different in every was except the face. Maybe some alcohol would help. But I would date the clone. Its not like its my mom anyways. Stop being so creeper out about it. Eva and Trish are hot and they're not the same person.

I didn't know where to post this. For a bit of a diversion, look at this piece of art. It's not the look of ninja theory's Dante that makes him harder or easier to see in the role, it's the poses.

well thats where we differ greatly lol.
Because I definitely would not date someone who is a clone of my mom who only happens to have a revamp in morals,design and apparel.
That just would not be enough for me to look past the fact that they look IDENTICAL in the face.
And yea, Eva and Trish are hot TO US, but I am sure Dante never looked at a pic of his mom and said, "wow, she is so hot!". I know a lot of friends who have hot moms but obviously do not think so themselves because its their moms lol.

Dude, That's so wierd. Even if she was a younger, different attired, clone of your mom, it's still screwed up. Dante and Trish can never be together because Trish looks like his mom. And no matter what clothes she wears, no matter how she acts, it's just not gonna happen because Trish looks like his mom.
