DmC Devil May Cry - Meet the Cast - 02 Fighting the Power

the biggest similarity between Kat and Lady is that they are both humans who know about demons and help fighting them

But Lucia and Trish are demons who have been made artificially

dante becoming a white hair demon killer isnt a fanfic wish this is a reboot not a new ip thats like getting mad that people assume peter parker will be spiderman by the end of the amazing spiderman or maybe i should use smallville for example.... nt aren't stupid im sure they can have a matured dante in the end with his tradmark color but a 2013 version its not far fetch look at vergil. Ithink people ether loath the hair color (which is hypocritical) or jusdt have some weird image of him popping up as dante circa 2001..i doubt that lol now for dlc who knows batman ac did it

i don't know , it just seems that way

i mean there are more similarities than differences here ( like necklace , similar hair cut , etc ) , i actually made a thread about it a few months ago

i think Kat is the new lady and by the end of the game she will get most of her key features from original series ( like Kalina ann and guns , etc ) but that's just my opinion and i could be wrong

Actually, this talk on Kat and Lady reminds me of something I thought about some time ago.

Say Dante meets Lady somewhere down the line in another DmC game, possibly DmC 2, it’s possible Dante’s time spent with Kat might influence his actions when Lady steps on the scene, along and any plot points with Arkham in a future game. I mean, it’s up in the air that lot of us think Kat could die (the people she’s based on Catherine and Beatrice either didn’t live long or got beheaded.) so her fate could very well be sealed in DmC if she was to be killed off.

What I’m saying is, if Kat does have some connections or faint resemblance to Lady, it could be intentional for that reason and effect how Dante might interact with Lady. Think about it, where Kat was the voice of reason to Dante, Dante could wind up being the voice of reason to Lady if she’s hell bent on getting revenge on her mother, exactly like Dante is in DmC for his mother, Eva.

Consider the scene in DMC3, where Dante wouldn’t let Lady go to face Arkham. If Kat does die in DmC, her death might be a key reason for Dante stopping Lady in an alternate universe of those events, because he doesn’t want a repeat of what happened to Kat in allowing a human get involved.

So things like Kat having short hair, or carrying the stencils tube on her back remising of Lady carrying the launcher, or even the hatred for their stepfather/father and killing them, it might all be connected for whatever is next in store for Dante’s journey.

that's an interesting ( and plausible ) theory , and it would explain why Dante is so persistent to make sure that Lady won't get hurt and fight Arkham himself ( of course if there are Arkham and Lady in this new universe as well )

i still hope that Kat won't die or at least not before giving birth to Nero :P

thatd be interesting, i mean they are both humans who fight demons and have demonic fathers...wait is kat lady...no no that would be retarded...what was i saying....oh yh. it does seem Kat is being set up to take a fall here which i think sucks i dont want a girlfirend in the refrigerator moment in DmC i have much higher hopes. so i think shell escape but leave dante or (he leaves her ie leaves the order.). either to fight demons with the order, on her own or to quit it entirely. i dunno maybe im a sucker for happy endings so i hope this DmC doesnt leave me in tears.

She's got that mark on her forehead. Never took the time to see if it was a pentagram or whatnot, but it seems to me that it might be more than a tattoo. Who knows how long it's been there, where it's been? Ew, don't touch it.

She has a Third Eye tatoo on her head, and a sleeves-wroth of tattoos on each arm, going all the way down to her fingers. I don't think she's "marked" in anyway, she just tattooed, and they're themed after her being both a street artist and a psychic.

Not everything is something super important :p

Beryl was from the Devil May Cry 2 novel. She was a demon hunter who used Spiral.

I doubt it's her though...since I don't think Capcom ever thinks about anything that wasn't the games.

Actually, the markings on her arm are called Henna, markings used for celebratory occasions. It could be that Kat is either Muslim, Hindu (most likely due to the Third Eye on her forehead), or Jewish.

Gonna be real for a minute.

And I'm saying this as someone who really really, wants to play DmC. And as someone who really, really loves behind-the scenes videos.

I really dislike these behind-the-scenes videos.

With Enslaved and HS, they would just take us behind the scenes, have interviews with the actors, and show us how a game is made. It was genuine, informative and always wonderful.

These videos do that, but they also do this trippy high-energy edit that I only associate with Youtube Poops to the point that I can't take it seriously.

I can tell what they're trying to do, but it would benefit NT to just... you know, be themselves.

I hope the developer diaries look different on-disc.

Henna is a style of skin artistry using a plant for dyes. It's not permanent, and the style can vary greatly. I'd assume these are permanent tattoos because they aren't copper like Henna is - all of Kat's tattoos are like a purple or indigo color.

A friend of mine used to do Henna tattoos at Six Flags :x

I feel the same way. The videos are great for some information, but god awful editing...

Right? THe first time saw the one with Kat's actress and she says 'and I play Kat-- Kat' like that I remembered this and now I can't dissasociate the two:

Dear God, that Pony video was the worst thing ever. I don't think the DmC vids even remotely compare. I actually think they fit the game in a way that they wouldn't fit NT's previous games. I like em. *shrugs*

Actually, as far as Youtube Poops and seizure-fuel go, the guy who made that is one of my favorites :0
