DmC Definitive Edition for PS4 & Xbox One

I'm really down for this. But did you guys notice that Dominic Matthews posted on the PlayStation blog? He wrote something along the lines of 'some of the features' of DmC: Definitive Edition. Sounds like we're getting more. Can't wait!

And regarding the DMC4 tease at the end, I think they're holding off on giving a lot of info about that for now. I think for now, they want to promote DmC because it comes out earlier than DMC4's remaster. I won't be surprised that after the excitement dies down a bit, they'll stir it back up with information about DMC4.

Was that Nero's voice?

oh darn! they almost got it right in my book though. here are some more things i'd like to see in the definitive edition:
  • turn the hud on/off
  • taunts (though I highly doubt that'll happen)
  • for high difficulty settings, along with no items, also no checkpoints
  • photo mode (I'll never let this one go)
  • all new features offered for PC players too. maybe as some sort of definitive upgrade pack for a lower price, idk

Umm...just a question...why do you need photo mode on PS4 when you can use share button to make screenshots

So, everyone, soak this up for a second or until release. This is just a theory.

Could this mean that both DmC2 and DMC5 are in the works? If you're a gamer, like myself, then you'll notice how things go with releases. Here's an example.

Kingdom hearts 1.5 Remix (2013) Square Enix partial
Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Final Mix (2014) Square Enix partial
Final Fantasy Type 0 HD (2015) - Square Enix partial
Final Fantasy XV (2015)-Square Enix Hajime + Nomura team
Kingdom Hearts 3 (2016) -Square Enix Nomura full team

Our release schedule:

DMC HD collection (2012) -Capcom
DmC (2013) -Ninja Theory
DmC: DE (2015) -Ninja Theory
DMC4: SE (2015)-Capcom

What do you think Capcom was/is doing in between DMC HD & DMC4: SE? Remember, some of their team was working on DmC. That team, may have went on to improve DMC4 with what they've learned working on DmC. Now, when it comes to teams working on titles, there has to be something going on with the other portion of Capcom's. Hmm...

Let me assist your mind.

DmC = Ninja Theory's full team and DMC4's combat team.
Hellblade =Ninja Theory's combat team.
DmC : DE = Ninja Theory's combat team
DMC4: SE = DMC4's combat team.
DMC 5 = Capcom's full DMC team.
DmC 2 =Ninja Theory's full team.

Now think about the budget for each game....now smile.

Ok. Let's get to my opinion.

I don't think they are trying to pull on our heartstrings. I think they're preparing us for the next installment. Updating our games to remind us they exist and matter so the hype will be real. Thing is, I think DMC 5 is more likely to happen in 2016 than DmC2. Because in 2015, Hellblade releases. That being said, the entire Ninja Theory team would be working on DmC2 and not just a portion.

As most of you know. Hellblade doesn't have that many people from NT working on it. It's just something they wanted to do and that's evolve as a studio. Hellblade is an appetizer or tease that I think is to prove to us gamers that they've learned something from working with Capcom.

Last, but not least, is my final say in this post. Could Ninja Theory be assisting in DMC5 and Capcom assisting in DmC2? Or is this their moment to set Ninja Theory out alone with their own Devil May Cry?

You have your Western Devil May Cry and you have your Eastern Devil May Cry. Neither is restricted from your enjoyment unless you let it be.​

Last thing you're going to do is try to make me seem like I'm trying to be funny when I'm really trying to keep the peace. berto, you asked chick to stop and I didn't say anything when she didn't. I guess ToCool asked me to stop for sensitivity reasons. But, this chick quoted me and all I did was welcome her. Because I understand it's hard to please a...five letter word.

I said WELCOME and then I revealed that I knew chick track record. It doesn't matter. I welcomed her to this thread and showed her my enthusiasm. I introduced chick to my team which is the All AROUND team or should I say the DIVERSE team because we all posted a HYPE meme for the same two things that got us screaming in this thread.....

Very well, you were welcoming her. However, you do need to clarify it to her because it she didn't take it that way.

Now, if you'll excuse me, it seems there a very active thread in the DMC4 section that I need to keep an eye on.

I second this. I've been really hyped about this, but its to a point where it feels like I'm hyped for a new DMC game, which its not. A Special Edition isnt like new games, but they sure as hell are refreshing. I'll still look forward to it.
