You bring gaming news to this site taken from other sites frequently for people to see and discuss here. It is called spreading awareness. They are just doing the same thing, showing us people who have a rather negative point of view for us to discuss.

I said ignore him because I don't want him to receive attention in a negative way because that just fans the flames. I just wanted to show an example of the more extreme people out there. Don't twist this to something that isn't because what you just said there goes both ways man.

One can have an opinion, doesn't mean you can't respectfully turn it down.

Sometimes it is, like written previews for example. Not everything is strictly objective, they are retelling their experience with the game and putting out their opinion out there, just like the dude I linked to. What's the big deal?

Sarcasm and judgementality. Calling people fanatics, because they have a positive view on DmC. So offensive.

I for one didn't know there were such hostility and negativity in the Asian gaming community. I didn't know that they were mainly being xenophobic. I have grown fond of animé and I have always been a fan of fighting games and RPG mainly made by Japanese developers. Devil May Cry is one of the best hack'n slash game series I have played. And I know alot of other people here in the Western world who are fond of many things Asian. So the fact that so many Asian people have such negative viewpoints and opinions on things Western surprises me. But thanks to the people here, I now know.

How many times have people on here posted something about Tameem or Alex just to talk smack about them? It happened ALOT when I was a regular on this site. I don't approve that people post about certain others just to ridicule them, but it shouldn't prevent us from discussing these people and their viewpoints. I usually just go "Haters gonna hate", because it's been proven to me time and time again that chatting with a hater won't do anyone any good. It is easier to just ignore them and leave them be. However, as an overall factor, it is worth discussing these points of view such people have, as it is relevant to our community.

So I don't see anything wrong in people on here going "This guy has these very negative opinions about DmC. What do you guys think about that?" as long people don't go hostile on him.

When has Paexie stated he cannot accept someone's opinion that differs from his own? He merely posted a link to a guy who goes on about his dislike about DmC in a VERY elaborate way, and simply disagreed with that guy. You are making it seem worse than it actually is, VW.

I don't really aprove with all this nessisity to know how the oposing side of the argument feels. I say just let it go but as choco told me both sides seem real eager to prove the other wrong.

It wasn't really a necessity to know the opposing side with this thread. As a man of curiosity, I can speak for myself when I say that I like to know both sides of an argument/debate. It's not about hearing their arguments and proving them wrong, or laughing at them, it's just about hearing their arguments in order to better understand their stance on things. Unfortunately, a lot of their stance on things is as shallow as it is here, so...

Capcom is just out of ideas, that's why they do this.

I meant without Japanese games that were just handed off to the Western developer. DmC is the first I've heard of that had both companies working together so much of the time, with the most important parts (combat gameplay) being intensely overseen by Capcom.

You really need to chill the damn hell out. You have such an extreme view of all this and it's really off-putting. Even if someone is spreading "someone's hateful opinion" the way it's being spread around also gives connotation to the mood in which it's spread. Saying "Sh*t yo, this guy really twists things up to make it look bad" is a way of making a talking point out of the negativity. Could it have been left alone? Why sure it could have, but since this is a topic about how absurd some of the undue hatred for DmC is, we can talk about it, and also point out the flaws, making others more well-informed on the subject. That's the whole reason why I started the Knowledge Primer, to address concerns and talk about what's founded and what isn't, in order to educate people so they can make a much better informed judgment.

And seriously, guy, you're getting way too riled up, yelling that "DMC-Reboot fans" can't accept whatever dissenters have to say. That's a straight-up, flat out lie, because we're listening to what they have to say, and there are many (on this very site) who are totally cool with those who don't like it. What we have a problem with is the people spewing out twisted bullshit and trying to spread it as fact. By spreading it and immediately pointing out the flaws and twisted bullshit, we're trying to stamp out misinformation.
