DmC: A current haters point of view in the east.

I just asked 2chan (the largest non-profile forum site in Japan) about their views about marketing and the new information added.
And they had very.... erm, eccentric views about this game.
Because this site openly supports DmC (and most trolls are stamped out), and recently fan numbers made a conciderable rise...and of course the time of armaggeddon is nearing.
I will like post the discussion we had. About what do current anti-DmC people think...In japan.
(There should be some mild critisism? No?)
Also I think there are some funny moments of their islandly isolation from global media and custom of the net...and sadly why DmC will possibly not sale well in the east.

Q. It seems you guys have been here a long time. But what exactly will you do when DmC sells?
A. There is no meaning in thinking that because this is a non-profile site.
We just say what we want to when we want to.
I don't want the whole franchise to break down, but thinking about DmC2 is a nightmare.

Q.Have you heard that DmC was awarded several times in major game events?
A.What? How dare you! The judges must have been bribed!

Q.How many sales will you think DmC will have?
A. Let's say about 3000000. Dragons Dogma selled well too, despite it's critical response.

Q.What do you think about the in-coming demo?
A. I don't think there will be a online-demo at the first place.
(In Japan there is a shop-demo released on the 23rd of November. They say they are too "busy" to make a online demo.)

Q.Have you played the demo at events? Or will you?
A.No, why will I? I really hope that people will realise the difference of what "true" DMC is.
(Well I'm glad you won't.)

Q.Do you feel the difference between the marketing strategy of Europe/America(Other countries) and Japan? And why do you think there is?
A. I feel quite a difference of quality and quantity of info. Did you say our info is more than a week outdated? Well...I suppose then Tameem is trying to trick the new-comers in Japan in thinking that this is DMC5 so it will sell well.

Q, (Explaining why the "spoiler" stuff is totally rubbish via-youtube and images)
A, I don't care at all!

Q. Wait! Isn't this a DmC thread?
A I don't care at all! We say what we want when we want to! Besides our ID's will be resetted tommorow so what's the point!

Well..One thing is true. I'm just too glad to find this thread and you guys. lol
The question is this. How will you counter these anti-opinions? Are they even valid at the first point?

My head hurts. I'm tired of seeing these Devil May Cry zealots. When I got into DMC, I never thought some of these people were so rude. I typed in once on a DmC trailer (the 2010 TGS Trailer) that I "I can't wait for this game to come out!"

Naturally, I got barraged with insults, profanities, and surprisingly, racist comments. Gee, it's fun being a DMC fan...

I just want to play the next incoming Devil May Cry. Is that so evil?

After reading that most of my responses would have been ...wat that makes no sense

The non-profile policy makes everyone masked fools who can act as they want as you can see.
I'm just so bloody ashamed of my race.

Also, is there a source to this, or something?
There is only one thread in 2 chan about DmC it's easy to find. But I will not paste the URLs or guide you so.
I just simply don't want anyone outside my country seeing the "total" mess...

Haters gonna hate. There's a reason that phrase exists in the first place.
Why try and counter it? It's not like their opinions will affect how we as individuals will experience the game. Let them wallow in their pitiful hatred to the game, It's not going to affect me in any way.

Hmm...countering them is not a good phrase...something I not intended.
But I mean what do you feel about how the DmC media currently acted quite wildly?
(I think due to this some people do think that Ninja theory is giving us a faulty game without quality with just good marketing...although I'm not)

I have always thought it is incredibly ridiculous that people have acted out of their way like that. The overall hatred and rage from the DMC community is an embaressment for me as a Devil May Cry fan and I have in a long time felt ashamed to be part of such a community. Luckily, I found this forum and found like-minded individuals who also have a positive view on the new DmC. This overall experience had me realize that in the end, it doesn't matter what other people say. Your own opinion is what counts. However, the raging mob have affected the game in some ways, both good and bad.

If you look to my avatar and sig, I have chosen to pictures of Dante smoking. It was something I thought was really neat about the first trailer of DmC - Dante was smoking and he used his cigarette to put it out on the head of a demon. I thought that was awesome! But because of the reaction of the raging mob, NT seem to have removed the whole smoking thing from DmC. It is something I personally liked, because I don't like my heroes to be all clean and pure, I like them to have flaws, addictions and other stuff like it to show that they have weakness.

However, due to all the hatred thrown at NT, they have really worked hard on this game to become better, to exceed expectations, to be the best they could manage to create. NT wants to prove the haters wrong and have DmC become an awesome, succesful game! And as a supporter of DmC, I hope the game will do just that: exceed my expectations.

The reason I love DMC is because it is fun to play so in my opinion you can't hate the game unless you have played it and you think that it isn't fun:/! Well Crush it is good to see you are trying to get these guys to like DmC!!;)

I Knew that the people in japan still hated it, (they don't like most western games, so much that most of the times an xbox360 version of a game will largely undersell).

Well, at first I thought the DMC fanbase would become like the old Megaman community lol

This hatred can be compared to racism. Not wanting to deal with certain people due to skincolour, as won't these haters want to have anything to do with the new DmC, simply because of the small differences.

Let's try not to compare hating a video game to racism... I get what you're saying but the gravity of the matter makes things really sound uncomfortable.

It already is. Unreasonable hatred, no matter what the target is, comes from the same place in a person's mind. If someone is capable of hating something in such a manner in just a videogame, then imagine how their hatred would be expressed if it was towards a person.

I really don't think that line of argument holds out and I honestly feel it's offensive to anti-DmC fans and people who have dealt with real racism. Saying you hate a video game even for invalid reasons is not comparable to the type of hate that comes from seeing a group of people and thinking "I am better than them and they should not have any of my rights because they are inferior". And I think it's even more unfair to imply that the people who hate DmC might act like extreme racists because they already express hate in other ways.

Well they are always comparing this DmC to DMC you know...they make a living out of it.
But let's cut this racism problem, it could get ugly.
