Devil Trigger, and Dante's future talk

Everyone here knows I'm loving DmC and can't wait to see more of it, but I can't help but think about that Devil Trigger. Honestly, I don't like it.

I think it's going to be useless in gameplay because the enemies are just frozen there and you're pretty much killing air. Also, I feel that only using DT while in the air and when you touch the ground it's over is a bit of a let down actually. Plus I think Dante looking like Original Dante is NT(Probably Capcom) trying to show fan service and trying to appeal to the old fans which is odd since they're trying to get new fans. I don't want this to be new Dante's permanent form by the end of DmC cause then he'd just turn into the original Dante again and what point is the Reboot then. Classic Dante and CAPCOM had their shot, and CAPCOM screwed up with story. Now it's Ninja Theories turn to make a DMC of their own.

I Don't want new Dante end up becoming Old Dante again! I don't want the Pizza eater as a reboot if it's a REBOOT.

I think the DT that was shown was still very incomplete like the rest of the game.Tameem said at some point in the game that there wont be a floor to fight on which would make this ability completely over powered so there most likely more to it then what they've told us. Also i dont think that'll be his only ability mainly for the reason he's more than just a demon now so even if its useless his other power might be useful(if he has any).

i always thought that the white hair came with the demon powers. hence why he has whitened tips in his hair, or that he died it to fit in more. i dont mind either way. IF he keeps his white hair, that doesnt make him old dante. he is more than just hair colour (which many fans lately have been forgetting) so i think this devil tigger is pretty cool, it is both an homage to old fans and a possible route for the story to follow up on.not to mention the whole time stopping thing is pretty boss. i dont know about you but i never went devil trigger unless im ****ed off and just wanna end it. so i think itll be pretty cool.

so i didnt xpect any consistency from the reboot anyways (note: these were the best devil trigger images i could find so no hating)

I cant fault you for thinking that way, im kinda the same, except i wouldnt mind if they work towards overtime. if he DOES dye his hair then it could be at the point where he matures and acepts who/what he is. but that would be a final scene of a game and i dont see a sequel afterwards.

in the end you we just need to have faith in the writers. they created dante like this, and if the game merits a sequel im pretty sure they wont just change his character for lolz. he has allot of potenital as a character which merits many sequels and story arcs. so lets just wait and see if he ends up the white haired badass we know. or something all together different.

I Hope so. If there is a continuation, I think his hair should turn white with every game. Like in the first it's comepletely black, but in the second one, there's a patch of white at the top, and it get's more and more white with every game.

While in DT dante is on the ground and fighting. I think durning this stage of the DT it is more of a timer thing. And the enemies float around in the air for a while and while your up in the air and time runs out, Dante delivers the fist smash

yeah i'm guessing the dt is staying on the LB/L1 button like it always has, and i also hope the devil trigger has gone through some changes. for example i hope instead of dante gaining white hair, red coat, and slow motion he now has a demon form.

i will have to disagree with you m8. i dont want dante to get his demon form, yet, i feel that the white hair is plenty to start with and that demon form is something that could be worked too in any future sequels. one thing that annoyed me in DMC4 was Neros lack of concern when he got demon form. especially in a game where dante is an outcast. to just throw in demon form would be a waste.

just becaues all the enemies are thrown into the air doesn't make is so you have to kill them in the air. I mean you got a whip that can bring them to you. If that's the case, and the DT is set on a timer then, i'll be ok with it.

fair point but, id hate for NT to crowbar it in last second or sommit. i think its better if NT just focused on perfecting what they have now and if the game doesnt have a sequel then clearly devil form wouldnt have helped it if it was that bad. which is why ill have to disagree with you

i would too! the scene of him ripping open his chest to see his heart better be a piece of concept art in the game!

Id like to see a scene like neros where he gets completely recked. i mean impaled, decapitded, bullet to the head level death. then he just pulls an alucard and recovers something like this:

Villain:" how in the hell did you survive that"
Dante:*points gun* "F*ck you, thats how" *BANG*

I disliked their rebooted dt as it was just a way for them to pander to the fans. "look we gave you the white and red coat", when it would have just been easier not to have redesigned him at all.

So i'm more into him having a demonic looking DT rather than his old look.
