feedback from the beta to be incorporated into the main game.
The face? It's not accurate but it's hardly bad. If anything I'd say focus on the hair.
People claimed Dante looked "Chinese" and thats what they were referring to by complaints about his face. The face? It's not accurate but it's hardly bad. If anything I'd say focus on the hair.
In the CG for 3 I would argue he has Japanese features. Specially the hair. Zoom in on that.People claimed Dante looked "Chinese" and thats what they were referring to by complaints about his face.
I guess they thought Dante was being race bent and that's where the "outrage'"came from.In the CG for 3 I would argue he has Japanese features. Specially the hair. Zoom in on that.
Nothing wrong with having a few Asian features there.

Honestly, they don't look all that western, either. They look like asian designs of westerners which isn't all that western, either. They look caucasian enough that if you told me they were I'd believe it but if you told me they were asian I'd believe it, too. If this was a western design this sure as hell wouldn't be so ambiguous. I'd know that they were for a western man. That is more of the camera angle than anything else. From this angle he looks a lot like DMC4 Nero.
In other CG renders Dante looks a lot less Asian though.
Even in the CG renders for Dante in POC he looks a lot like Mitsunari Ishida from Sengoku Basara
Its mostly the sharpness in his eyes (whereas DMC3 Dante has pretty large round eyes) and his more smoother almost baby like face especially when you compare the in game version of both Dantes.
A lot of the CG cinematic trailers does look closer to Dante but the in game model (the one players will actually have to keep looking at) looks like some Ken doll or something off one of those (cheap looking) Asian MMOs. I personally don't care........that much but one can't deny their faces don't match up and some fans are fair to critique it as feedback (feedback that they Yunchang were asking for).
Besides Lady and Vergil look way more off than Dante if you ask me.
Lady looks like a Shin Megami Tensei character and they made her even more pale (gotta appeal to those Asian/Chinese beauty standards I guess) and Vergil...............
Well Pinnacle of Combat abbreviated is POC which is also used to refer to People of Color.....soooo.....
Bro don't make it into a huge melodrama. You know with DMC3 coming to the Switch but now with Style Switching and more features what is even the point of getting this? The whole DMC on the go angle is no longer viable. Its combat seems even more superfluous when compared to DMC3 on the Switch (hell even compared to regular DMC3SE it doesn't seem that impressive). The rest of the game just looks like a Chinese knock-off. The story doesn't look interesting almost like fanfic filed with OC rejects that seem to belong more in Final Fantasy than DMC. And DMC3 on the Switch probably won't steal your data to be used by the Chinese government. Oh and its only in Chinese for now. Its only advantage is that its free and on a platform more available to the common person.
It does have playable Lady but you can play DMC4SE for that and that is probably going to be ported to the Switch too.

If you don't like it, just don't get it.
It just exists because Capcom wanted to cash in on the Chinese mobile gaming market. It's no different than the pachinko machines or the Live Hacker musical.
It's not gonna effect whether or not we get a potential DMC6 anyway. The fact that its gonna be free allows it to be low risk.
They were just examples of what I was trying to say at the time.Hmmm no I'm not saying not to get this game but it severely lacks appeal now since a far better and truer DMC experience is also on a mobile platform(granted you need to buy a console if you haven't already).
It is free but you know it's going to be filled with the brim with MTX and be a grindfest because it's free. Some beta player have already mentioned how much it takes to unlock to various moves and like Devil Trigger and weapon switching. And when I need to grind or pay to unlock DT and weapon switching that is no bueno for me.
I'm not saying Capcom didn't have to invest into the Chinese market (but considering how absolutely quiet they are on this I doubt even they care about it that much and it's probably more on Yunchang Games who want to capitalize on the DMC license). But saying buffing up the already critically acclaimed DMC3SE with more features on a mobile platform is making this game (which kind of already looks kinda meh) look even more unremarkable. Capcom is basically undermining their (well Yunchang really) own game at this point.
What does a stage play or a pachinko machine have to do with anything?
Yeah that and why does Beowulf have the head of chicken?!Jesus f***ing Christ, Nevan really looks like something out of a Chinese MMORPG.
The return of dial-up combos using sword and guns?
it's just that you dodge and while you dodge you attack to use stinger and co, wich for this platform is probably the best choice, it's supposed to be played via touchpad after all.The return of dial-up combos using sword and guns?
And I'm not sure if they combined dashing and signature moves or they couldn't be bothered to animate Dante running.
When Dante does Jet Stream, he runs with Agni & Rudra but here, he dashes instead.
