Dante Reacts to New Dante [VIDEO]

Really? So you don't check out reviews before you buy a game? You must have mad cash!
I rarely look at reviews either - not because I'm loaded because I'm SO not, but like EllDawn, I've found that just because a bunch of people say something is great doesn't mean I'll feel the same way. I mean, if I listened to most of the Fable community I'd never have bothered with Fable 2 or 3 and they are two of my favourite games to play - but to listen to reviewers, gamers and the wider fanbase, you'd think that with each new Fable title, someone's puppy was shot or something.

That's why it's good to do your research. Going with what everyone says usually leads to something you didn't expect, so it's better to look at your product and people who can look at it more objectively than those in the fandom or the masses in general.

Back on topic, I actually do kind of wonder how DMCDante would react to DmCDante and vice versa. I no one has quite captured that yet. Close but not quite there imo.

Ooh an eventstatus flame war thread for the hall of shame

Oh no, what have I done >_<

Classic Dante would probably make some one-liners over Dante's looks, then help him out like a mentor to a student, shows him the ropes and set him on the straight and narrow path. No bashing, no hate and no shooting him in the face. Classic Dante would be supportive ^_^

DmC Dante would probably mock his white hair though

I think DMC Dante would get competitive. He wouldn't really be offended, just turn it into a game to see who could kill the most demons, and then probably go out for a drink with DmC Dante where they'd probably mock each other for laughs.

I like how most of the "products" the Talent Agent listed were mostly crap.

Anime: Crap

Manga: Crap

Novels: Crap

Yes, I read the manga (seriously, Alice in Wonderland??) and the first novel, which isn't even considered canon anymore. And the DMC4 novel failed to really explain anything about Nero other than "speculate" that Vergil was his father. Crap.

Yes, I read the western comics too, and while I actually liked them and thought they had a cohesive story, but since next to no one really acknowledges them, and since the comic series itself never finished, I'm going to have to go with "crap". They could have finished it in a non-profit webcomic series, anyway.

Two out of the Four "Platinum" Games: (DMC2 and DMC4...and a few parts of DMC1 too, actually) Crap

Viewtiful Joe Cameo: No, Capcom, don't give Dante his very own side-scrolling Aerial Juggle-Brawler-- just put him in a cameo and everyone's happy. Besides, Muramasa: The Demon Blade already gave us a DMC 2D action game, with a Metroidvania set up on top of that. Crap.

Action Figures: Cr-- uhhh, nice to put into a figurine collection, but otherwise useless. Oh, and crap. :troll:

I didn't read the other posts, so, if anyone has already said anything like this, then please believe me when I say I had no idea that they said it first.

Anime: Crap

The anime was actually pretty good. Sure there was no cohesive plot or good character development or Dante doing his moves from the game, but it was still an interesting to see. I'd rather have a game of the anime then of DMC4.

Manga: Crap

The mangas were okay. Though the action scenes weren't put together to well. One minute Dante has his guns, then all of a sudden they're in the air, then all of a sudden Rebellion comes and I didn't even see him grab his guns again.

Novels: Crap

Never read the novels, but I have read an over view on DMC4...Yeah it was crap as you described.

Are you this guy ? :P

Why did you post this? You do remember, Razyel, that this person exists to rile other people up?

Whatever. I ain't even mad. This individual would never stop, anyway.

Thanks for not flaming on my post, Dragonmaster. However, along with no cohesive character development or plot, the action scenes weren't nearly as good as they were in DMC3.

Why?? It's animated! There's no excuse for this! What did they spend so much of their "Action Scene Budget" on that they couldn't provide better choreography? The anime part of Kill Bill had better action scenes than this tripe.

I like how Dante started crying...

Because that's exactly what the "hardcore" fanbase did when they found out about this game. Cry.

I actually think he might be a fan of DmC and is actually making fun of the haters. If he is, then good for him. ^_^

I've never even heard of him, so I really don't have an opinion of him. I like to make my own opinion of games and everything rather than listen to what others say.

Please, please, please, do not watch his videos. He does not need any more views, and your brain will quite literally rot and fall out of your skull if you do.

You see my avi?

THAT'S MY ACTUAL PHOTO.

I've noticed a lot of things from the Japanese have elements from old literature. I think that's actually become normal for most anyone, any more. I've read the first two novels, haven't gotten the last one yet, but if they were a stand-alone series they wouldn't be that bad. Easy reading for when you're bored.

The comics, I never tried to read. I only found them online and I hate reading stuff like that off a screen. Too much scrolling when you get it to the right size. So I can't give my opinion on that.

The anime was fun to watch as long as you're not watching it for the story since there really isn't much of one. I mostly watch it because of the actors (several are on my list of favorites).

Over all I agree, but there are still things from most of the DMC franchise that are fun. It's not something you can look deep into, but it's still fun. So, as far as that goes, it wasn't that bad.

lol. Don't worry, I won't. I have no interest in his videos.

Ok, I have now changed my avi, so the previous joke is no longer applicable...

*looks again*

On the other hand, it just might be... given the circumstances.

Anyway, I'm pleasantly surprised that this hasn't turned into a massive flame war. Great job, you guys. I have never been prouder than I am now to be a part of this forum.

Hey, randomlulz...

I'm sorry that that person insulted you, man (DMC 5 vid Part 2 about 2 mins in). I know you were a fan of his.

I'll give you a brohoof for that.

I figure this vid is appropriate for the moment.

I post this, because, I think that's how that person sees himself.

He thinks of himself as a "big dog", and he's basically saying that you're meddling in things you shouldn't.

I feel your pain, man. :(

I am still a fan, but if you wanna flame me, I'm game.

EDIT: BTW getting paid to troll? Wow, posting gifs and praising Adolf Hitler has never been so rewarding

Regardless of what you might think of him, Event makes plenty of fair appraisals about this whole DmC thing, and the PR fiasco, and NT's behaviour, and the 'just OK' quality of the demo plus glitches, and the childish behaviour of some fans, rabid pros and 'haters' alike. It seems many have completely missed the valid points he makes when he DOES make them, doesn't it, in the rush to froth at the mouth?
