I'm pretty sure there was a story where Superman went all crazy because of red cryptonite and then Batman had to take him down.

And by some people I mean the hardcore fanboys/girls. Those who are all "Don't you dare say anything bad about my character!". :rolleyes:

Batman: Arkham City is a perfect example about how mortal he actually is. He gets beaten up and thrown around numerous of times in that game, always reminding the player that he isn't immortal. I think that's cool.

Anyways, erh, this was rather off-topic. Alot off-topic even. Hehe, sorry.

Man the gfx was awesome too bad its toned down and i think that isn't spear or staff its just beta scythe

The trailer is a fully rendered cut-scene, everything in 2011 has all been ingame. Also this trailer, to me, was NT showing the art direction they were going for. I happen to think Dante looks stupid in this trailers, but

oh man they should add resize button in this forums anyway this is what your staff is it maybe can shape-shift to a spear who knows ? i am kinda happy this has no elements of the previous games other than names
 
Batman is cool and tough and he doesn't need super powers to be able to defeat others who do. I believe he's been able to take down Superman. However, people put Batman on such a high piedestal and he doesn't belong there. He's a mortal man, a normal human with human weaknesses and he is able to die, yet some people praise him like he is some immortal god.

Batman is a well prepared person im sure he has kryptonite somewhere in his utility belt. And the reason people think so highly of him is because he doesn't have any powers yet he's up there with the big leagues like superman and green lantern.

In one comic read, in which Superman went Berserk for some reason, Batman had a cryptonite ring (given to him by Superman, impying that this wasn't the first time Superman had lost himself) with which he could exchange blows with Superman. He still was no match for the big guy, but due to certain plans etc, he released him from the mind-control. It's funny in one moment after he had hit Superman with the hand that wears the ring, he exclaims "ok..even though I'm using cryptonite, my hand is already broken.."

He is awesome, but only human in the end. Just like Iron-man is just a clever guy without the armor.

Now old Dante though..that's an invincible beast XD

off topic: in Marvel comics main continuity Tony Stark isn't a normal human anymore. and in the Ultimate continuity he never was.

on topic: it does look like there is a spear form in the original trailer but it hasn't shown up in any of the combat trailers. it seems to have disappeared along with Dante's smoking and that patch of white hair.

Since it's very likely that Dante is going to gain more demonic/angelic weapon forms, perhaps the spear is going to be one of them? That or it was an early version of the whip grapple. Dante with a spear, though, that's an idea I can get behind. I don't think he's ever used one, except for the lance form the Sparda had, and that only activated during Stinger. >_>
 
I'm with the DmC Rebellion because of that ability to morph. Just because it's cooler.
Yamato would probably look exactly the same as the original just because of it's name. Yamato...any weapon that can carry that name that's not a katana?

Yeah, about that. I've always found it stupid that Dante got this big badass two-handed sword with a unique design on it and then Vergil just gets a plain looking katana. And why a katana anyways? That's not very demonic. I don't mind the Japanese influence on Vergil's design and all, but at least make Yamato look cooler than just a plain katana. Oh, and why the name Yamato anyways? Wouldn't it make more sense to call it something to counter the name "Rebellion" such as "Judgement" or something alike?

Dante is American, Vergil is Japanese. They aren't twins! :eek: It's all a coincidence!!! EVERYBODY! DMC 3 WAS A LIE! -gets shot more times than Dante can shoot Vergil in a second-

Well it was the easy thing to give him as "Sparda" in DMC1 except from Dante's weapons/skills etc. also has an additional weapon which is Yamato.
 
Classic DMC Rebellion. In DMC4 Rebellion was and is a sexy looking blade. I wouldn't mind buying it from some cosplay store or whatever.
