So now I want to ask you guys: What were your first opinions? Have they changed from the beginning? Give us your story!
Well I've been d.y.i.n.g for them to release the next game in the series so when I woke up one morning and got a bunch of messages from my fellow DMC fans asking 'have you seen the new trailer yet?' when I signed on, I was like 0_0 WHY DO THESE THINGS HAPPEN WHEN I'M SLEEPING?
And then I got very extremely excited because *squeeeeee* there's a trailer?!?!?!?!? Even though none of my friends sounded very impressed (actually they were asking me in complete outrage and disgust 'have you seen the new trailer?') it didn't quench my excitement.
So, my first opinion on DmC - it's AWESOME. I want moar. GIMME MOAR Team Ninja!
*Ninja Theory*. I mean NINJA THEORY!! Chains, Dante, helpless, the gritty look, the patch of white hair holding promise, oh hell yeah I'm game for this game! I watched that trailer over 100x. I loved every part of it, and NT had teased my craving for more Dante and I swear, I was checking the forum at least three times every day for any new morsel of news about DmC.
I love the music in the trailers, I love the gritty world they've built, I love the direction they're going with it in a creative sense, and I love the satisfaction of knowing that we won't be left with lose ends and a million questions about why, what, when, who, where, how? I also still hate Dante's fugly nose.
My views on the game have changed regarding the actual in-game dialogue. Maybe I won't notice it much when I'm playing it but having to be told more than once in the trailer what I have to do...I mean... that's going to get super annoying. I know I said before that they ought to include a guide for idiots on how to play the game, but my word, I didn't mean they had to reiterate it. Way to take my joke out of context!
I'm also still not a fan of the new Dante design. I like my boys with fair hair and blue eyes. And preferably not a nose that would scare Picasso away. I also still hate the idea of there being angels involved. Not because it smacks of Bayonetta-wanna-be but because it's just not Dante anymore, at all. But it is a reboot, after all, so I'll keep my pointless laments to myself (and Dante).
