Capcom will collaborate with DmC studio Ninja Theory again

Tell that to the original Mega Man and Mega Man x series.
As it seems you haven't read further... Where is MegaMan now? And while they had similar gameplay the HUGE difference is, they were released mostly on complete different consoles.

But hey maybe DMC5 will only be for the handhelds

I had read further, and where it is now is not the point.

The point is that you made a post regarding having two series run together with similar gameplay would not go good despite the fact that Mega Man X ran beside the original Mega Man series for years while both still maintained success.

Hence why I said that.

I really hope this means DmC2. NT seem to get shafted when it comes to being able to do sequels. Plus this new universe has seriously pleased me with everything I've seen so far.

While the old universe was cool (well cool in DMC1 & DMC3) it became stale and as far as I am concerned it's dead. I don't ever want to return to it. Just my two cents.

Just look where the games were released later on... First Classic Megaman "died" and X took over the platform... and further classic games were just mostly for handhelds... Zero never ran on the platforms of X as well and took over the handheld spot of Classic

Now we have not a single one... And you do not expect Capcom will ever use 3 MegaMan games side by side with more or less the same gameplay concept and on the same platforms... Same for Devil may Cry or any other game

We aren't in 1990 my friend

Since this is happening I say this now im staying here and not reading any comments on any DmC 2 videos. I dont want to deal with another 2 years of this stupid fan v fan v casual v nt v capcom war!

I just want to play some DmC or DMC and have fun not get talked down to by *insert anonymous commenter here*

Yeah, we're in 2013, where CoD is running side by side with high sales and almost indefinite continuation. The only reasons CoD is so similar with each release is because there isn't much they can add to the actual mechanics of the basic FPS controls now, they have already pretty much mastered it. Where as Devil May Cry being a fictional hack N' slash has tons of room for both story development and gameplay innovation, so a side by side model would work relatively well. It can allow people to either choose a preferable side and stick to it, or have the joy of playing both. Also since the next generation will be coming soon there are even more chances for innovation from both sides using this scheme.

I will approve of this if, and only if, a fifth DMC will be in the works. Otherwise, I wouldn't want NT to be a part of this. What I would like to see is Capcom hiring other developers to work on a new DMC game (specifically, I wish they would work with Platinum Games). DMC has really been a franchise of reboots, what's another one going to hurt, right?

The market would be saturated anyway (as it was back then) so, it wouldn't be feasible. I got megaman collection only wat after the original release of 7 and 8. And you know what? I didn't really feel like I had missed out on that much.

The classic series didn't die. They went back to making more after the first two MMX games, This also happened with how many other of the different series in the franchise, and 80% of them all had the same Jump 'n' Shoot formula.

The only reason we don't have Mega Man now is because it's be going for 25 f*cking years. And look at how many games were made in that time. I'm sad there's no Mega Man right now other than SFxMM, but the guy had a great run.

Azurel, I have to know, where did you get that gif from.
Also, it may be considered a spoiler for some (it's awesome by the way)

Yes. Thank you. Let's put it to sleep, already.

They only thing that would make this franchise work again is if it took a more action-oriented front. Zero has a sword. Actually, he has a lot of melee weapons. Why not share some with Mega Man and have them become enemies? MM even had a sword as well, at one point. Then they could reboot the franchise with 30 frames per sec --

Okay, I wanted to apologize, that gif is not a spoiler, I thought that was Vergil deflecting Dante's bullets with his sword, it's just that demon NT revealed earlier that looks like Vergil :(
Still, it's an awesome gif and thanks for the link :)

The only thing I would like P* to work on is another Viewtiful Joe if they want to win me over. Let's just say P* isn't in my good graces at the moment.
