The Savior is controlled by Sanctus though, so it's power is limited in comparison to Mundus and Argosax.

It's pretty basic logic, dude. :/

With time you grow stronger, and DMC2 Dante's Majin Form is his most powerful form in the series.

In tje anime dante beat a demon said to be on par with mundus without the sparda form or power, he used his own power and defeated it.By DMC4 he is stronger than that and it is implied he is more powerful than sparda, and by DMC2 he is massively more powerful than he ever was before and both his regular dt and majin dt are uber powerful.
 
Even Dante's transformation of Majin form or his regular dt, in my opinion, I don't think it could surpass his father's power. It was evidently stated in Sparda's wiki page stating that "Sparda is regarded as the most powerful demon in the Devil May Cry series." But remember, Dante could only be able to use his Majin form when his health bar is glowing red which at his very low health. If Sparda ever facing with Dante's Majin Form, I don't think Majin had a chance to attack Sparda where he could dogdge Majin's attack and slash Majin with 1 or 2 hits and done. Lol

Spardas power is still unknown though it is a mystery , and it was guaged long before dante was in the picture

it is also stated more than once by demons who knew sparda that dante is stronger so we will never know really oh and by the way the majin form is completely invulnerable like dreadnought so it wouldn't go down after two slashes and you forget about its mega beam and fireballs just like the sparda form
 
Oh I see, sorry I haven't play DMC2 for a very long time. Since Dante's Majin form is by far the strongest demon form in the entire DMC series, if DMC5 take place after DMC2 and if Mundus return as the true final boss, I guess that would be Mundus' last goodbye. XD Back on this thread, I still believe that Mundus could destroy all demons, supervillains, whoever just a few seconds but of course, not the heroes. Lol.

I'm not denying that Mundus could defeat most, if not all, of the other villains.

What I am denying, however, is that he's the strongest demon.

If Sparda was able to defeat him single-handedly, then that proves that Mundus isn't the strongest demon.

And if Dante does surpass Sparda in power by DMC4, then of course this could mean that Argosax was also quite powerful, perhaps even enough to rival Mundus himself.
(Which might explain his role as the previous demon emperor)

Indeed Mundus is quite powerful, but I certainly doubt that Sparda and Dante are the only demons that rival him in strength.

Abigail was one such demon who rivaled Mundus in power, Argosax could be another, and I doubt they're the only ones too.
 
Fact is that Devil May Cry 2 Dante is hands down the most powerful Dante, even more so than Sparda form DMC1 Dante.

I look at it from a powerlevel standpoint akin to DBZ in a way that while yes DMC2 Dante pwned argosax that in no way automatically means Mundus>Argosax since from a powerlevel standpoint by that time we where dealing with MUCH more powerful Dante by the events of DMC2. It could be said that DMC2 Dante could have pwned Mundus just as easily as he did Argoasax.

Now i"m not saying that Argosax is more powrful than Mundus, only debating against the logic that because Dante had a hard time beating one while a easy time beating the other does not automatically makes Mundus better.

To be honest I'm not sure who would win, both where pretty impressive given Mundus's impressive display of power against Sparda Form Dante and Argosax/Despair Embodied impressive speed and skill against a much more powerful version of Dante.

It could go either way in my honest opinion.
