Achievement list

Wow!!! My rabbit's foot is really working!!! :)

First, tons of news yesterday. Now, tons of new stuff today. I wonder what's going to happen tomorrow.

As for the spoilers, well, everything was to be expected. Mundus, Vergil and so on.

However, I laughed at the name of some achievements. ( 'Fill your dark soul with light).

What are you trying to say? I know there be haterz that will jump down the throat of anyone who says anything positive about the game. This happened especially when the game was just announced and most people hated it. Now it's the opposite, which is sad considering you think the people who got trashed originally would be smart enough to not stomp all over people who disagree with them. But, sadly, that is not always the case. :(

Of course I'm generalizing, and I'm not trying to say my opinion was "stomped on" in this thread. I'm merely saying that the common theme is that if you say anything negative about DmC then you will be nitpicked to death. Again, generalizing.
 
One of the achievements is beating a level in 2 minutes or less.

I don't think that's possible in that game, lol. Just look at the missions, lots of enemies, the boss battles seems to be long and so on. Unless they're talking about missions that only feature boss battles, like Vergil probably....

Yeah, that seems to be the norm. But hey, think if this DmC was DMC5, and someone nip picked on every little thing with it. I'm sure you'd have to say something. Not get all mad, but just I don't know...say something to defend DMC5?

But this discussion seems to be ending, so I guess after you, will end it here.

People can nitpick DMC5, or any game, all they want. They have the right to say it just as we have the right to say all this now. But here's the thing, if you want to nitpick gameplay or story, then that's great. But when people start nitpicking a person's/people's opinion on achievement titles? Where do you draw the line between honest defending for the sake of discussion or gaining better understanding versus just being a fanboy/girl/whatever that can't stand the sight of someone saying anything negative about a game that isn't even out yet? And of course this applies to the haters who freak out over anything positive being said.

And this is a good discussion. I don't know how much more there is to say, and it's kinda derailing, but we're touching on a larger issue that I doubt the mods will mind us discussing. It might be smart to make a new thread to address the question I proposed. That way more people can talk about this in depth without losing sight of the thread topic. :)
 
Well well...I'm not that surprised about who the last boss in this game was gonna be.

Now what I'm worried about now is how the whole story and the new mechanics are gonna turn out. 3 MORE MONTHS BABY!!!

A similar situation occured with RE4, the first RE without zombies. The hardcore RE fans wanted it to be the same as the rest of the series while the standard gamer took on the defence of the most succesful game in the franchise. There was also a similar responce when Nero was announced. People got used to the idea after a few months, though, and even began to look forward to it. The difference this time, I think, was that the situation was exasperated because of NT's constant bashing on both the fans and the game that said fans loved. I honestly think that if NT/Tameen hadn't run their mouth things would've settled down faster and less fighting would've occured when people got used to the new game.

THings wil lalways be like this as long as there are passionate fans. But a basic understanding of PR couldn't hurt, ether.

Plus threads will always go off subject. Never seen onethat didn't branch off from time to time.
 
The list does feel extremely incomplete. And we all knew Vergil and Dante weren't going to get along at some point (he's a manipulative man after all). I would have been really disappointed if they weren't going to. How will it happen is the big mystery here now.

Either way, I'm damn glad we get to fight him.

Yeah, kind of wish I didn't read that. I've spoiled all the references :'(. Oh well, at least they made me smile :).
 
Im 100% sure that incomplete list of archievments is from that devs cutted the ones whose could refer to story in the game to avoid spoilers and too much info.
