Kamiya is still doing the Okami sequel. If the game is as lengthy as the original it's going to be a while so while he's at it he might oversee and DMC1 remake, which I'm not crazy about. As for Itsuno, this wouldn't be the first time they remake a game without it's creator/director. DMC3 is revered but nowhere near as much as RE4 and that one didn't get much more than a tweet from Mikami. Also, Kamiya is not with Capcom now, nor is Itsuno.
That's... complicated. Langdon has left the industry altogether because of issues with a big wig at Capcom. If you want to know more you can check out an interview here.Reuben also often said, in nearly every interview, that he has not heard of a new dmc, though VAs are the last one in production to know of a game.
I disagree, while DMC5 does have frame drops in Mission 13 and a few other areas, it is an extremely consistent 60 on console. Much better than DMC4 on 360/PS3You know what the saddest part about this is for me. It's that, with how the industry is nowadays, if a remake indeed is in the works, I'm fully expecting it to be an unoptimized, smeary, blurry mess that completely relies on upscaling + frame gen to run at even a basic 60 FPS. Which would kill my hype even if the rest of the game looked fun as frick.
Soooooo many games nowadays both look and run worse than last gen, and I'd be sad to see DMC steep that low too.
5 already had a few inexplicably CPU bound areas that would hurt the framerate, and seeing the absolute technical disaster that Monster Hunter Wilds is (mentioning that one cause it's the latest Capcom game but really it's an industry wide problem) I wouldn't expect future projects, remakes included, to fare much better.
AI technologies like upscaling and frame gen have become a crutch to justify poor optimization and they've made games worse instead of better. But that's where we're at now.

Yeah, the same feeling here. People seem to not want to understand that the game isn’t very deep, that Dante is not a deep character (except for Kamiya’s version), and that memes or popular opinions are not facts, even when you explain it in detail (like with Gilver being a Vergil clone according to BTN, when the novel never says that or even hints at it).Yeah, unfortunately I've been to reddit and 4chan and those nimrods either don't understand the importance of things like the atmosphere or tone. They just want more of the same. They either don't understand or pretend they don't.
