Anthony is right, in that companies are just going the Naughty Dog route and recycling their games. On the other side, games these days take ages to develop, so the price increase may be somewhat justifiable.
As for micro transactions, I hate that practice myself. In old games, you were rewarded with unlocks based on how well you played. Whereas now you don't get all the costumes, secret fighters or whatever, unless you get the season pass or DLC packs. Just seems like a bit of a rip off way of going about your business.
Really looking forward to seeing what Summer Game Fest has lined up for this year. All the same, I kind of get fed up at the lengthy time it takes for games to actually be released.
I just find it is a hell of a wait we have in store when a game is announced in like 2022 or whatever, and then doesn't officially come out until in 2025, or 26. So by that point, you've just been getting hearsay talk from the rumour mill, about what could be going on. Although people are saying that due to the tariffs imposed by Trump, buying gaming stuff will end up being a more expensive hobby.
