I'm not really a massive fan of Resident Evil anymore. It's because I got quite put off with it being milked, and the current timeline is super all over the place. That doesn't mean I completely hate it or anything. Capcom is capable of doing something special when they commit to it. But I can tell they're just churning out games to go off of their past success.
Lately, I heard rumours of RE0 being remade, with an adaptation by Constantin Film being made for contractual purposes. They need to put out a new movie every so often to retain a hold of the rights, or that's that.
It's just tiresome seeing Capcom rehashing the same plot aspects we know of until you go blue in the face, considering Raccoon City was obliterated in the original RE3, which came out back in 1999. Yet Capcom just cannot leave it behind. Rehashing the same storyline about STARS and the city's last days is just, I don't know. I struggle to care anymore.
I get that it's the pinnacle of the franchise. But man. What a way to beat on a dead horse.
