  • - conversation is gooood...plus people will be all jealous because of our looooong posts when they can only manage about three lines.

Play Mass Effect on my profile for a bit - I'm like level million or something - and see what you reckon. They ought to be releasing some more info about ME2 soon so I'm keeping my eyes on that because there will be a running storyline throughout all the games in the series which are altered depending on what you did in the previous game...quite ambitious really considering you have multiple choices all the way through...

Yeah, Telford is under an hour away I think - by car anyway. Dunno about trains though - probably longer I reckon. But all trains lead to Birmingham as far as I can tell up this end of the country so it's not that big a journey. Rugeley station (the one I use most - there are two) is about a mile from our house, I think (i have no spatial awareness) but the walk isn't too bad. Back in Wycombe it's hill city - there are very few flat places and to get to my old flat from the station involved something of a hike up two hills...not pleasant

I ought to have online membership for the 360 by end of this year so if you visit next year and make a profile you'll get 1 month free gold and we can all play a bit of Rainbow 6 Las Vegas terrorist hunt. The AI are quite smart but fun to blow up. I'm a dab hand with an incendiary grenade.... :D
 - like I say, you won't be intruding...we don't get many visitors seeing as Steve is quite a shy person and I've only lived here a short while. We promise we won't eat you or anything like that...

It's always going to feel awkward when you stay somewhere for the first time and you've not met the people before - just see it as a one-sided school exchange programme instead. You need to come somewhere to learn the wonders of the XBOX 360 after all

I have Sims installed for those times when there is nothing to do and I am super bored...I just make loads of graveyards with the residents. I don't think I've ever actually tried to play it properly as it's not really that interesting. Watching some little person go to work, eat, sleep and go to the toilet for hours on end is not entertaining...

I think you might like Mass Effect - shooter elements, RPG elements and a pretty good story. You can get it for PC too if you find you like it. I hated it to begin with as my favourite RPG's are those set in olden times or those with magic but I grew to really enjoy it and I've played it through about 4 times now.
The dog is a terrier and very vicious although she tends to bark and growl more than bite because she knows if she bites there's trouble. She'll just growl at you...a lot. She bites me from time to time but I get my own back...because dogs can't wear heavy kicking shoes... she has turned me from a dog person into a non-dog-person which is a shame because I used to really like dogs until I met her...

Holidays next year sounds like a safe bet - and your mum would most likely be more relaxed if you're closer to 16 too ;)

Well we have a few RPG's - Lost Odyssey, Mass Effect, Oblivion, Fable TLC. We've got all the Halos, Gears of War, COD4, GTA IV, F.E.A.R, Viva Pinata (don't knock it til you've tried it ), quite a few Tom Clancey games like Rainbow 6 and Splinter Cell, The Orange Box, the DMCs (obviously), some Resident Evil and Silent Hill...there's more but I can't be bothered to go check. I'm not a horror fan myself so I stick largely to RPG's - Oblivion being my personal favourite. I have every expansion to it and completed it about a zillion times. Sad but true.

We also have some RTS games for the PC and the 360 - command and conquer, age of empires - that sort of thing. And if all else fails there is the ever-faithful Sims
Oh for sure - at the moment we're holed up in our bedroom with no access to TV which is killing me...living room is a mess right now and we're waiting on the flooring to be delivered which so far has taken a month.

Our house is nothing special - mid-terrace, untidy front garden and ugly red footpath...we look like a load of pikeys in comparison to other people in the street  - but it's quiet and everyone is pretty nice up our end of the cul-de-sac. Apart from the dog.

What game genres do you like?
 I'm 26 and Steve is 22. for good measure, Jessica is 7 and our good neighbours are in their 30/40's and registered foster carers in case you need to run to safety

The 360 is goooood....we've lots and lots of different games of different genres and it's always fun to try out a different console when you normally play something else. I'd like to try out a PS3 but not until there are enough games on it that I want to play.

We've got 2 laptops and a pretty fast internet connection too if you did want to watch or play anything on one of them (probably be mine coz Steve won't even let me touch his laptop  - once our living room is finished it'll be sweeeeeeeet - we're making something of a gaming room with gaming artwork everywhere and leather and glass furniture. Plus a big TV to game on :D
Psychotic Pedo? Sounds interesting... nah, your mum is sensible though. and you wouldn't be intruding - basically, we live a fairly quiet life. We both work from home and don't drive so we're pretty home-y people. That's homey not homo

We don't have SKY though - just crappy freeview with about three working channels on it - got a fair few DVD's, 2 360's and a PS2 set up though for entertainment. Either that or chav hunting :D But watch out for the dog - she is pure evil. Don't say I didn't warn you. And if it crosses over a Sunday I gots church in the morning so you'd get the option of coming with me and J or staying home with Steve. The biscuits at church are better though, to be fair

London or Birmingham could work...Brum might be a little cheaper and it has an international airport which most places fly to, I think... But London isn't that far for us I guess - about 5 hours or so at the most by train. Just finding places to stay would be tricky as London is pretty expensive for hotels - even the crappy ones. Everyone could crash at the Travelodge in Uttoxeter instead and we could all go to Alton Towers for the day instead :D
 - uber-huge posts. We totally pwn the visitor message section

Hey you could crash if you wanted - just don't expect decent food - our oven is broken and I'm the world's worst cook. As well as housekeeper - I can't keep anything tidy for more than 5 minutes  But you'd get a bed - with Hannah Montana or Shrek bedding. What a choice! And you might get to meet Dark Drakan - although he's actually pretty quiet (as is Steve) when he's not online. As for me, well I don't ever shut up :D

One day it'd be cool to do some massive international meet-up...probably nigh on impossible to organise but it would be pretty cool...see if certain members are as cocky as they are on the forums in real life

We've got chavs too...but nowhere near as bad as my old town. Maybe all that makeup and those crappy tracksuits have sapped their energy?
I'll join your fanclub - last fanclub I was part of was the Puffin Book Club when I was little

Wow - 5000 quids worth? Nice...hang onto that - something to pass down to your kids if and when you have them...either that or get David Dickinson to try and get you a sweet deal...

Yeah, meeting up one day would be good - we had an email from one of the Americans on here asking if they could crash at ours if they came to England. We said yes but heard nothing more. Seeing as he's about 13 I doubt he'd be leaving the country on his own anytime soon

Brum is ok - I'm not a city fan but there's way more to do there than here in Rugeley - the home of takeaways and bored teens  - not a big shopping fan either but there's plenty of places to sit and drink copious amounts of overpriced beverages. If Steve ever found out how much Starbucks costs he'd go mental
Coin collecting, huh? I know many see that as uber-geekiness but actually it can be pretty damn interesting - same with stamps. I used to collect stamps but lost them all and couldn't even begin to start again. I liked collecting the foreign stamps the most - they're so much prettier than British ones.

How many coins you got then? I've got some Charles and Diana commemorative half crowns from when they got married...a threepenny piece and one of the old 5ps which used to be massive...I did have some other ones but lost them, sadly. I like old stuff - like my gran's war medals and my great grandfather's medal from the first world war - I've even got a pair of old leather dogtags from WWII which are kind of cool. Like owning history...

Sorry - going super geek now

Going past 6ft? I'd hate to be the one buying your uniform every term...bad enough trying to get stuff that fits J - she's so damn skinny I can't get anything to fit her waist. She's still got the waist of a 4 year old but the height of a 7 year old. Tricky combo...

Brum? Takes about 50mins from where I live by train so not too bad...I'd go into Stafford but there isn't nearly as much to shop for (and the Starbucks isn't big enough ) - plus I've not gone into Staffy by train before so I'm bound to get lost en route from the station to the town centre. It's about 15 mins or so from my town by train but I'd rather go that bit further to make sure I get everything I need. Including a chocolate cream frappucino from Starbucks
Not all that much really - going to head into Birmingham tomorrow to kit Jessica out with school stuff before she goes back in September...I swear she's needing more stuff than last year. It's mental.

Other than that I'm still attempting to work through my story although it's heavy going because I'm struggling to work out what to rip, what to keep and what to change. But I'll get there...at least at some point before I'm dead

How about you? what have you been up to?
Urgh - weekend was crap. Spent most of the time getting yelled at by my sister for everything I've ever done that could possibly be interpreted as wrong from 1982 to now...soooo glad to be home. Be a long time before I visit again that's for sure
