Vampire Houses? Hmm...40-50 is still quite large and there's the danger of it becoming rather repetitious, unless you do a sort of sweep in time which encompasses all the eventual downfalls of the respective leaders, but allows you to focus on the interesting challenging ones. For example, you could bring down, say, three houses and then jump forward a little, whilst encompassing other elements and subplots that may be relevant to give some padding and a little extra oomph, by depicting how it's been, I dunno, 3 months since the start of his mission/rampage/cleansing/whatever you wish to call it and he's already managed to take out a further 13 (example only) leaders then perhaps elaborate on a particularly tough one without having to trawl through each and every fight individually.
Just one way of doing it, I suupose. But I'll bet you've got something infinitely better and interesting up your sleeve, so best to run with your ideas as they'll no doubt exceed anything I can chuck out
