Actually, there is a villain in here and she goes a step farther. She tries to convince the leader of the group to kill the main character after everyone figures out what her powers are.

I'm sorry to hear that I think May is just the month where a lot of bad stuff happens.

My story is about this girl who essentially moves to a new place, gets inducted into this "family" that basically runs that town and it's all about her learning what her "power" is, because they only choose people who are extremely gifted and then her breaking away from them to start anew.
