Yeah, there are the odd occasions when I want to go online so I can play Fable 2 or Gears or something...but I guess it's just not enough to warrant paying for a subscription. I use the 48hr vouchers when I need to so it's not so bad...

I've had gold before for 3 months when I first got my 360 but I don't really enjoy playing with strangers online because they're so mean and take everything personally. It's like XBL brings out the moron in everyone :lol: Steve got a string of abusive messages the other day on Gears 2 because he killed some bloke who was crap and this guy just went nuts. I've had one guy I used to play Rainbow Six 2 with go from being cool to sending me really detailed messages about what he was going to do to his girlfriend...needless to say he's not on my friends list anymore :lol:
You can beat up a 4 year old - who says you can't? I'd totally go for it...and if your parents kick off, tell them he's violating your human rights or some such rubbish - drone on enough about it and they'll eventually lose interest in shouting at you...
I don't really relish the thought of something going wrong and having to fork out more money for something I haven't been able to use properly - that happened to Steve's cousin. When his internet died for a week for some reason his gold XBL died too and he had to pay out for it again. He wasn't happy.

I keep wondering whether to bother with a gold subscription to XBL...I just don't play enough online games for it to be worth it, I think. But the gold does look pretty....
