Gamespot: Microsoft Made Enough Profit In Past 3 Months To Pay For Bethesda Acquisition Twice

Damn. Microsoft isn't just making F You money, they're making F Everyone money. Rumors are going around that they're getting aggressive and looking for more ZeniMax/Bethesda-tier acquisitions. That's wild. With $15.5 billion made in profit (not revenue, profit), the amount of studios they can buy out with that money are unconscionable. That's almost one whole Activision-Blizzard, or one-and-a-half Ubisofts, or two Konamis, or three Square Enixes, or a bunch of Bandai Namcos (CBA to figure out their net worth but I know Nintendo has over 3 million shares invested in them).

They could buy Marvel Entertainment right out from Disney and then do nothing with it, that's how much money that is.

That's nothing. Microsoft has more money in the bank than what is reported. When it comes to corporations, don't just look at their revenue or profits, look at how much reserves or resources they have available to buy Bethesda-level company or companies. They have something like 900 Billion, and is currently valued at 1 Trillion. Their credit is very strong, they technically can buy 5 Activision company-sized corporations.

And Activision isn't worth 1 Billion, they are worth about 60 Billion dollars.

Wow. I don't know much about the company, I was writing an article about their acquisition of WRC license holders. Then when doing research, i couldn't find more information, so I had to use Wikipedia as my source of information. God. I got this weird feeling at the time. Like they were concealing information so they don't get this scrutiny. WRC is ****ed. Nacon is about to get the same reputation as Electronic Arts at this rate.

You might wanna watch the video in @Morgan's post. My post was a video from frogware itself. You might need an outside perspective.

these are a seperate item.

I saw the one put out from frogware. I understand their accusation. No matter what Nacon feels... its basic stealing. The better business deal would be to acquire them completely. Not, like "this license deal means the software is ours and we can sell it as our own."

No, bitch. That's my product, its my ****ing money.

That's basically what's happening here. Nacon was treating the game as a Nacon game, and not a frogware game.

That's not what I meant. I mean Morgan's video would help as another source of information for your article.

Hot damn do I love the development of Fantasian. The way the environments are done by scanning pre-made dioramas and setting the models on top of that, seems like such an obvious evolution to the FF7-9 method of "static photos that 3d models run on" that I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. It evokes the same charm as stop motion sets designed by Laika or Aardman studios.
