I got it now. I was doing Rainstorm input MUCH later you're supposed to. You do Rainstorm IMMEDIATELY are JCing. So stupid. Thanks for taking the time out to help a scrub.

lol. That's exactly what I was doing. I took me a while to figure out that you had to press it almost, if not immediately.

p.s Cool combo vid bro.

Great work there, very well explained tutorial. Thanks for that material!

There any other games that you like to go in depth with the mechanics? Besides some fighting or any other hack'n'slash game?

Bit off-topic:

THE TIME HAS COME AND SO HAVE I, GUYS:

Finally my copy of DMC4 for PS3 has arrived, now i can replay the hell out of this game and start sharing some of my progress and questions here to you all. Don't play it since 2011, man, was kinda hard to find a Collector's Edition but i manage to buy that one.

EDIT: Jesus Christ, just realized that i posted it in the wrong thread. But, well... the two threads have the same purpose, so i apologize for this mistake.

I've already seen the videos for inertia and sky guarding, and although i have the practical knowledge to pull it off, i would want to understand how the mechanics work too. So, what exactly happens when i JC Killer Bee and use guard to give a direction to the inertial movement? In my head, the jump-cancel would cancel the inertia because Dante stops for a moment and change his trajectory upwards for an instant when you jump-cancel, so i really don't know exactly how the game sustains the inertia from the Killer Bee if i stopped and even changed the trajectory while this initial inertial movment was conserved and use to move quickly to another place; i think if we could break this mechanic out we could think about different and more subtle usages to inertia, if someone else not already accomplished this with different movements.

EDIT: How do people cancel High Roller without even leaving the ground? I've seen plenty of people doing this in combo videos but i don't tried to find an answer until now.

Thanks in advance, don't mind if i take some time to read the answers here, but be sure that i'll read them :)

This partys getting crazy
In my head, the jump-cancel would cancel the inertia because Dante stops for a moment and change his trajectory upwards for an instant when you jump-cancel,

You guard cancel the startup of the JC so technically the jump doesn't come out to change and because Inertia works by preserving momentum until it's either changed or stopped (by touching the ground) it still works off the Killer Bee momentum.

Air guard was also programmed to keep any falling momentum while stopping height gain which is how you can "stock" the direction.

EDIT: How do people cancel High Roller without even leaving the ground? I've seen plenty of people doing this in combo videos but i don't tried to find an answer until now.

You just have to jump during the startup. I've heard it's much easier with Max High Roller.

Could Someone help me with some things? I'm having problems in 3 technique firework cancel and reverse attack. The firework I try to use in angelos, more uses it, Dante. does not cancel the attack. The star rave I'm not able to do in a the reverse attack. Could Someone give me some tips to facilitate execution of best enemies to use? I game on ps3, then nothing of enemy with infinite life =/

Thank you so much! I sure will try most if not all of the techniques mentioned in the video. So far I have mastered just DRI and it works pretty nicely for me. Glad to see stuff better than that... Kudos to you!
