What are you sick of?

It can be, though I don't let it bother me personally. It's just one of the 'bad' that comes with the internet, and you may as well not get down about it or let it stop you making things as an artist. It only happens with one side of my work - the digital art stuff, the other side with sculptures it's much much harder for anyone to steal and replicate without serious kit. Which is good, I guess. Though it does also happen, but usually only with people trying to rip off official figurines.

Sculpting, too. very impressive. You got a link to your works? You got me curious, now.

I lost a bunch of most recent photos when my computer died in December which I may or may not have backed up somewhere on discs, it means sifting through a pile of them which I plan to do soon as I get some time and courage to go searching. Never realized just how much 'stuff' I had on backup over time, but I'll post some up in the fanart section here when I get to them. I planned to make two Nevan figurines which I haven't forgotten about and do a process for them in there, too.

I used to have a blog with the links to picts which also flipped out over December and caused me to have to start over, losing most of it in the process. Technology.

Yeah. I dropped my laptop and the hard drive crashed along with all my animation projects for my protafolio. I've not had enough time and money to replace it, ether, so I haven't put pencil to paper in god knows how long. I don't even know if I can still do gesture drawings well much less walk cycles.

That sucks, man. I hope you get that back soon. I was lucky enough to borrow the money from someone who knows how screwed I'd be without a working tower... . What sorts of animation do you do?

mostly on Maya. CG. Used to be called 3d but stereographic movies get that title now.

Cool. Just hobby? Or you planning to go into the field or make something big with it?

Sorry for the long pause.

Yes, I plan on doing something art related. I like telling stories so writing was something I wanted to try my hands at but I really love to draw and animate so I was planning on going at it professionally. Actually, I was thinking of writing a comic to see how well I can pull it off, art and writing. Once I have enough to buy a computer I'm going to try building a portfolio again and starting on that comic, maybe sooner.

I have a few plans for my new computer once I get it. First was to learn to draw in PhotoShop and SketchBook. I kinda have a good grasp on anatomy and perspective but I still struggle with clothed characters, color, and faces. I got a lot of work to do, specially since I still have to get used to the difference between a wacom and a pencil or pen.

I also still have a lot of free rigged characters from back in the day when my computer worked so I'm planning on animating some sequences and a few audio clips from movies. Of course there are the required walk cycles, weight tests, and lip sinking that has to go with all portfolios so those have to be made.

I am also thinking of starting a video game/movie channel on YouTube to make recommendations of both to people. Mostly none popular things like poorly sold games or foreign films. I have video editing training and motion graphics so I have the skills and a good enough version of the softwares to pull it off. The issue is the copy write laws that even as I would be protected under critique they don't seem to care and they just crack down on everyone making it a hustle to put in any footage of anything, specially movies, I've heard. I was also hoping to have my channel be bilingual, in both Spanish and English.

Well, for now it's all just talk and one or all might fall through but I gatta try, right?

Hollywood's Kleenex.
My new term for the frequent reboots.
I'm sick of people claiming reboots are good for the film industry when they're appearing quicker the Kleenex in a box of tissues.

And have you noticed the recent sprout of TV shows that are based on movies? From Dusk til Dawn, Hannibal, Bates Motel, and a few others I can't remember. It's getting a little overboard.

hospital appointments. my diary is crammed with appointments for the kids and I am close to asking if I can get my own room there or something because at least then I wouldn't have to keep making the 15 mile round trip on the bus and then wrestle a rather strong 4 year old into the waiting room whilst everyone else stares.

What am I sick of?

Pretentious a$$holes that climb up on their soapbox, and look down on others without even having a basic understanding of who these people really are.

Example: While it is commendable that someone has steered clear of drugs and alcohol all their life, not giving into the traditions and milestones we generally do, it in no way gives that person the right to think themselves better than those who have partaken in drugs or alcohol.

Apparently the douchebag in question is labouring under the grand delusion that trying said things automatically makes someone a drug addict.

Oh, you naïve fool, aren't you just f*cking adorable... :/

I can count on one hand how much booze I have a year, and even then, I'd never assume I'm better than someone else who drinks every weekend...

People calling original Dante a 'flamboyant anime fag' then getting pi**y because not everyone likes DmC's version.

I know! Flamboyant... what, because he wears red? That does not even really make him flamboyant. And even if he is a bit flamboyant, that's not a bad thing at all. I actually prefer characters to have some taste, not to be gray background objects, or to be 'ordinary'. I see plenty of ordinary people running around in real life, don't need another one in the DMCs. And the word 'fag' isn't even based on anything at all. Flamboyant, fine, but 'fag'? That's a stretch.
The Japanese really know how to make characters funny and otherwise likable. They still know how to create a contrast between moods, so to speak. Dante is usually upbeat and cocky, but sometimes strong emotions shine through. DmC Dante had that too, but not in the same powerful manner.

OMG, this f*ckin' post. The only reality shows I like are those like Animal Planet's River Monsters, home improvement shows, etc. All that Kardashian sh*t and Hip Hop wives, cosmetic surgery, Beverly Hills brats, Bachelor/ette, ugh you can miss me.

Oh and shhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

You're in danger of being a fan of a s0-called "Gary-Stu."
