How Dante & Kat might look like in a live-action DmC film

But I agree,Vergil needs a new coat that's more fitting to fighting and not for a fashion parade for british gentlemen.

You know, the first thing I noticed about Vergil's coat is that it is cut exactly where it needs to be cut for leaving him room to move his legs in battle...
And after all, long coats are a typical DMC feature... ^^

Its kind of hard to take someone seriously who says they're the king of demons if they're dressed like this.

DmC is set in real world where demons run society. We don't see president of america wear military uniforms cuz he has the responsibility of guarding his country.

A warrior who uses a japenese katana as his weapon would dress like this.

In today's age, It would be unnatural to dress this way jus cuz someone is a combat character.

Back in 2005, i found dante to be most casually dressed demon in DMC 3.

No one would believe if this guys hunts demons for a living.

I never liked DmC dante's attire. But vergil was jus perfect IMO Except the fedora hat.>_<

Seeing this pic, my closest friend and I dreamed of cosplaying both iterations of Dante. I'll be the Classic Dante while he's the New Dante. The Classic Dante iteration I want to cosplay as is from the DMC Anime (DMC1 Dante but armed with Rebellion).
EDIT: I think they are the real deal. DAT ABS (I'm not gay over it, 'kay?)

Oh man,there are MILLIONS of movies,anime,books,cartoons and such where there are characters who use swords but they're not dressed in the time THAT sword or weapon was made or used.
That's why each character has its style,it doesn't have to follow the tradition of wearing a certain costume just because it was made waaaay to long ago.
My opinion was concerning something else,but anyway... . xD

Yep.I was happy when I saw Leon and Giulio (Classic Dante and NT Dante) cosplay together,it made a happy fangirl and they're one of the most amazing Dante cosplayers out there so both of them in one picture was awesome. xD

I've done Classic Dante's poses, memorized almost all his lines, imitated his actions... I think I'm ready. However, due to my obesity, I may need to slim down. The right diet for me would be the <b>Thermogenic Diet</b>. I know most people find those abs of that DMC3 Dante cosplayer very appealing...!

Back to topic: We all need to remember that Dante's looks in the movie would be the Classic Dante look. It could probably be one or a combination of some of the scrapped concept art NT have for Dante's earlier designs which are quite close to the classic one.

Lol...watever you have mentioned are fictional and i am well aware of that. Question here was authenticity of vergil's outfit as ruler of demon world.

If we are questioning the authenticity of vergil's outfit not complying with something expected as ruler of underworld, we should know that source of japanese katanas are from japan and the authentic outfit would be as i mentioned. If we were to go by authenicity, we would have to go by samurai outfit for vergil since he uses japanese katana. But that would be unnatural and authenticity should not be a criteria to decide vergil's costume is my point. Wat was your point again????

In my discussion with LysseC I wasn't talking about how true his costume stays to the katana's origin or something like this.
I was talking about flexibility,comfort and how they should pay less attention to how expensive it looks and more on how comfortable they are for the characters to fight .
And he's not yet the ruler of the demon world so his outfit is not what we should be so focused on. I know he's a classy looking character but the outfit looks more fitting to some kind of an earl rather than a fighting character who is supposed to be faster.So yes, I still don't see the connection yet.
And if Vergil was to be some kind of a president(in our case,''ruler of the demon world'without fighting then yes,but he's not,so again,I don't see the connection.
Also,sorry,I didn't know since I'm quite new to the community.
