I found a video of the Poison boss fight, titled "Secret Ingredient." The guy playing didn't seem to know to catch up on things, but I was able to pick up on how this fight was supposed to go. Hopefully they won't change anything in the next year. So, here's my analysis:

Poison's Anatomy

As ugly as she is, we have no choice but to look at her. She's not really a "larva" rather she wears a sack of skin that acts as her shell and fluid carrier. Her real body is covered by it so you don't see it, but she obviously has multiple limbs. Her head is covered by a loose flap of her shell that protects the large sensitive portion of her forehead.

Resources and Surroundings

Naturally, Malice tore the place up. As a result the ground's split up into several platforms and there's debris floating in mid- air. There's also a pool of Poison's... umm... "stuff" down below, so it's best to be careful. There's also a fan down below too, whatever that's for.

A Prom Date with Poison

So, if you couldn't tell, her forehead's her weakspot and, trust me, it's not that hard to get at. Her hands can take up damage but she'll use them to attack you. After she attacks her head is exposed, so just dodge her attacks and wack her head when you get the chance. After awhile, she'll faint, which is chance to tear her head apart. I noticed that while you DT there's a blue light which I assume means that you can Angel Grapple her head, but that's just a hypothesis.

She'll use her... umm... "fluid" as an attack too by spraying it all over the platform, just use Angel Grapple on nearby debris and move to another platform.

After taking down her health, she'll go into a deep faint and just hanging from her... "thingie," exposing a couple of wires. Use Demon Grapple to tear them one up, which will cause her to get mad and swear some words. Quite an unbecoming woman, isn't she?

Do this a couple of times and she'll make both of you fall down below. She'll try to get to you while hanging on to a piece of debris. Use Demon Pull to make her fall and float towards your platform. Then attack her hands to get her off and she'll be ripped apart by the giant fan.

Yay! Thanks to you, we have no more Virility. Thank you for ruining Limbo City's economy.

Here's the video, though it won't reflect my strategy since the guy is seemingly inexperienced:

It's kinda weird that'd she'd spew some kind of acidic corrosive desolvant because, well, people drink it as an energy drink. Spewing enegy drink to your oponent is kinda helping them out so I think it should, insted, send Dante on a frency that eventually leads him to crashing.

"The savior" battle from DMC. You jumped on a thing that sent you to another place. In DmC case you use grappling.

Except, she isn't spewing the final product on Dante, instead she's spewing the raw ingredient used in producing the final product. That's the whole point; The drink literally is Poison.

hormonal imblances and erectile dysfunction.

It honestly reminds me of the cerberus battle really.

That's seemingly a turn- off for some people. I personally don't like the dialogue. Not much of the "Dante" attitude, more like just a series of unindulging and awfully childish insults. NT sort of missed the mark on this one.

not to mention high blood pressure, obisety, diabetis, sloth, clogged arteries, cancer and a slow death...

Or if you swallow the can, a relative quick death. Especially if it gets stuck in your throat.

Wow. That dialogue was bad. Not cheesy or campy like the original games; just bad. And whoever was playing at the time should be punch. They were not very good at all.

I don't like this attitude. Not just you personally, but that people say that those who aren't elite at the game needs to get punched or die or whatever. I'm not that good in any of the Devil May Cry games, I have only a very few times been able to run through the Dante Must Die difficulty on DMC3 and that's with ALOT of work. Does that mean I should get physically abused because of it?

... I just know many of you will answer yes. XD

The player was really bad. The dialog had more swearing than I would have liked, it sounds like a conversation between a really ****ed off woman and a dude who likes and knows how to push her buttons. It's not bad, it's not cheesy either... it's pretty... normal. Like something you can witness in a street fight.

Yes.

You deserve to be beaten with a bat, thrown into a sack, and then dropped into a river full of piranhas and sharks... which have somehow not be eaten by the piranhas.

When you play a game, any game, are you showing it off to potential buyers? No. If you want to advertise a game properly, get someone who can actually play. I'm not that great at DMC either, but I'm also not playing it for people to see at E3.

Which is weird because NT's forte is their storytelling so you'd think their dialougue would be a little better.

Ha, I must agree, the player is quite awful, but I think they've skipped the tutorial section where it details the basic combat and allows You to find your feet.

Although, if I played that bad first time picking this game up, tutorial level or not, I'd likely cut My own fingers off.

Oh I played Enslaved and I could not understand at all what is so great about their storytelling. It was mediocre.

So they should have hired a pro-gamer to show this. Why do that when you can make people try it for free? Though it would of course be swell if there was a pro-gamer who wanted to show this off for free, but maybe they didn't have that luxury.
