NT's story telling is ok. But if I were to pick between this and another DMC4 (story-wise), I would go with this.

And yeah this player is bad. I also watched his playthrough of the other part of the demo and, by the gods, I could not stop laughing. Same combo, Rebellion combo A all the time, doing a launcher like 20 times over.... it's as if this guy is just pressing YYYYYYYYYY then BBBBBBBBBB as fast as his finger can.

hecne why he died twice in a demo we uspect ot be on easy lol

So they should have hired a pro-gamer to show this. Why do that when you can make people try it for free? Though it would of course be swell if there was a pro-gamer who wanted to show this off for free, but maybe they didn't have that luxury.
Zero, I need to ask you a question. Well actually two. Why is this such a big deal? Why is it than when someone says anything even remotely negative about something related to this game you have to jump to it's defense? Pardon my rudeness, but you sound like a paid troll sometimes. (Not saying you are, mind. Just saying how you come off.) Either way, I'll humor you.

You get someone who knows what they are doing because you want to portray the game in a way that will make people want to buy it. Showing a kick-ass gameplay video would help this game's case. Instead, all I saw was a laughably bad fight that only served to highlight the gimmicks, the bad writing, and stupid design even more. That's why.

However, in this game's case I guess you don't need any of that because people are so easily impressed.

Meg does have a point, when You want to peak players' interests, You'd likely be more successful showing a good player performing some amazing combos rather than Average Joe Gamer struggling to find every button on the controller. I guess it's somewhat like an advert on TV really, if You're going to attempt to sell any product to help amplify your appearance (hair gel, clothing, after shave, etc) You'd best display it using a Super-gorgeous actor. Same with games, You'd want interested players to witness amazing gameplay and instantly say to their self; "I want to do that!"

Oh I played Enslaved and I could not understand at all what is so great about their storytelling. It was mediocre.
Enslaved was writen by the writer of 28 Weeks Later, who I'm assuming isn't on NT's regular payrole, but even Heavenly Sword didn't exactly impress me with it's writing, the game was fine but the writing was hardly the best element.

Personally? The best writen games, I think, are the Japanese made Silent Hill games and the best stories I think come from games like Beyond Good and Evil, Okami, and Ico.

the only con to showing an experinced player is the hardcore fanbase could say "wow the game is too easy just look at how easy he's doing combos"

Then again we just have different views lol

The self-pronounced "subtle" troll now calls me a troll.
Your comment about the guy needed to get punched in the face for being "bad" at the game was unnecessary and rude. So I defended his case, because I too am "just" an average player and I think it is sad to hear people wanting to tend to unnecessary violence, because they are unsatisfied with someone's gaming performance . We have just talked about how we should respect eachother in another thread and then you make such a disrespectful comment.
You responded by saying you want to see someone pro to show us the game, as it would sell it better. I agree on that, but in the defense of the guy who showed us it and the guys at E3 who were showing us this, I said they might not be able to get one or were willing to pay for one. I did not disagree with the fact that it would sell the game better. The guy states that he's been practising and he did kick Poison's butt during the boss fight, but maybe not as stylish as you wanted him to.

And then you end off by belittling me, calling me names and disrespecting me while I have done nothing of the sort towards you. My first statement up there is something you have called yourself in another thread, maybe not precisely that, but you have stated that you yourself is a troll.

What we did up there in the other posts, before you had to break it and start disrespecting me, that's called discussion, Meg. If you can't handle a discussion without jumping at me like this, then don't even bother. However, if you DO have something to say that has to do with the main topic, feel free to do so.

The game is not on the easy side. They said something like they put a crap ton of people to play against Poison once, and only one actually managed to beat it. I think it is an easy game to get into once you have the mentality of what does what in the controller (like mixing devil/angel triggers really efficiently). I am sure that by the end of this game, any regular player will have an idea of how it all goes together. But if you go into higher difficulties, I think the Poison boss fight isn't going to be as forgiving, and will probably require you to parry just about every single hit that comes at you or else your life bar will deplete like... the money in my wallet in this upcoming months. I mean, this is like super-easy mode and you do take some pretty serious damage as it is, even with a double life bar I can still see you losing a lot of health with this boss.

I do not actually see myself as a troll. I was joking in that thread.

I did not mean what I said. I do not wish he/she/it gets punched. I was simply pointing out how bad he was. Don't take everything a person says literally. (As I highlighted above.)

Don't be so sensitive. I wasn't belittling you or insulting you. I was simply pointing out how you were coming off. You don't need to jump down my throat and get all cheeky with me like I don't know what a discussion is. Honestly, chill man. I'm feeling tired but in a good enough mood. How about youz?

You do that alot, you know. Going batshit crazy, calling people names and insulting them, then when they respond you are all "Oh, don't be so sensitive, it's not like I meant it, come on, let's be friends!". I would call that trolling. I'm just stupid enough to fall for it.

Dammit!
I should have gone to E3 to show you guys how awesome i play devil may cry.

I'm sitting on my bed with my head resting on my hand and thinking about how I'm gonna take a shower soon and then read a book. If that's batshit crazy then.... Honestly, I've only ever been calm this whole time. And as I said I wasn't insulting you or calling you names. And I certainly didn't say "let's be friends." But honestly, if I bother you that much you can either report me or put me on your ignore list. I really don't mean any offense to anyone though. But who am I kidding? I obviously struck a nerve with you. So, I'm gonna let you be from now on, okay? Since what I say upsets you so much, I'd advise you not to talk to me in the future.

OT: Since some people have a problem with the video, besides the lack of ability of the player, how would you fix it?

I thought the dialogue was appropriate and funny. There are three ways you react to a woman like that: really grossed out, scared, or mocking. Well, really grossed out is not what a demon slayer does, being scared makes no sense, so you make fun of her. You're gonna win anyway >_> You have to. This isn't Baroque.

And yeah, the guy playing was horrible.

UPDATE: Drama, drama, drama guys. ------------------------- <-The evidence has been buried.

Whoa, there. Woman, you need to learn to relax. Keep that up and you'll have high blood pressure later in life.

Well there is no way to fix the problem. What could of been done before hand was buy your ticket to LA and stand in line like everyone else did. And if you were good enough, you could of seem better gameplay. But since that didn't happen... we get this guy...... :ermm:

@ Railazel

Your strategy for defeating Poison seems the most logical. But i'm more of an in your face kind of guy. Poisons hands arm usually always lined up around the edge of the platform and it would be very easy to position yourself either on the far left or the far right side and preform either Drive or Arbiters shock wave all the way across to hit multiple targets.
Parrying seems the most effective though. The time it takes for Poison the recover is ridiculously long, and you could easily angel grapple to her head for critical attacks. I personally think the launcher attack would be easiest to parry Poisons sweeping attacks (i've always had good timing with high time over a standard attack)

Another thing! DT!! you could easily kill her with a few parries and jumping in and out of DT the entire time! All these guys were doing were saving themselves with the DT.

Someone said, in one of the playthroughs, he made a bet to stay on a single platform for the entire battle (which is impossible because she smashes entire platforms so you'll have to move) But i happen to think the vomit part could be easily avoided too. Just some basic combos to keep you a float or even spam E&I to slow your momentum down and of course the DT.

The ending part seems sadistic to me. She really has no choice in the matter. Dante basically is just kicking her down a hole

I love the dialog. Its really funny to me!
