Yeah, nostalgia is profitable and people remember the early power rangers pretty fondly. You'll find less excitement for Megaforce and Ninja steel from that same audience unless they're Tokusatsu fans however.
Ok.

So then, "find tokusatsu fans and interact with those guys for a more fulfilling experience being a fan of Power Rangers".

You're running too far with this my guy, I put Walmart because that's literally where that photo was from and that price. It could have been from anywhere and I would've said the same thing. Posting a picture of a man contractually paid to wear a shirt for a photo shoot doesn't validate or invalidate the perception or identity of the image, brand or idea, or if he even personally likes or endorses what he's wearing, simple as that. I chose something from the opposite spectrum to illustrate the same point; posting a photo of something sexually oriented on domestic or international sale doesn't speak towards the cultural prelevance, value, or perception of that brand, image or idea. It's simply a thing on sale.
No, I followed exactly where it lead, and you lost the plot by using that as a comparison and not something equally harmless but also just a product on sale. American society doesn't generally hold pornographic content as having high cultural prevalence or value or something people admit to in public to begin with; have you SEEN the US's attitudes towards sex, kink, and general nudity compared to violence? It's practically a meme how Puritanical the general US is about it. It ends up a topic of discourse anytime it's brought up (see: outrage over big blue dong in Watchmen). I kept it kid-friendly, you went someplace else.

I don't know why we're still on this conversation and we really shouldn't be because there's nothing more to talk about. I've already made my point.
Have a good one.

Yes!! You got it, the things around the image does speak towards those things (comment sections, cultural norms of the viewer, sales numbers yada yada) but the image itself doesn't. It's just a thing on sale. Glad we could bring it together at the end.

And in other news, my cat knocked my 2 liter coffee creamer jug on the floor. Great way to start my morning

Damn, we're kind of on a roll this year, winning both Eurovision and the Euro cup. I'm so glad I actually followed Eurovision in particular by the way, Maneskin is something I didn't know I needed.

Settling in pretty well, here. Bits of work and improvements to make here and there, but I think we're finally at that stage where we can relax a bit.

In-laws are coming up for a few days next week, so we'll have to make sure we're ready by then. Now if only Kaz didn't track in so much grit first thing in the morning...

So like, I was moving some furniture for a friend and because I was wearing a short sleeved top the wooden furniture in particular dug into my skin and left a bunch of thin red lines up an down my wrists.

Walking back home was an interesting experience as people were giving me funny looks as I realised I looked even more like some emo kid who likes cutting himself too much.

Artemis Fowl and Legacies (CW) should crossover.

A former teenage criminal Mastermind with experience in the supernatural feels like a good addition to Legacies which is a show about a bunch of teenage monster hunters.

I thought it was a decent finale that spend 3/4 of its run time on an info dump. So it might run people the wrong way.

I didn't like how the Ravonna/Mobius confrontation ended. I just saw it as too vague so I would've liked a stronger tease for where Ravonna ends up.

Kang felt too jokey but I'm hoping there's another variant with a dryer sense of humor. I'm just glad he wasn't a new Loki variant.

Loki's arc in the show is to go from a self absorbed asshole to someone who can form connections with others. He even becomes someone who tried to look at the bigger picture. His fight with Sylvie is over that. She wanted to put her desire for revenge over the greater good. He wanted to find a better way or atleast a middle ground.

So I hereby dub this variant as “Heroic Loki".

The finale had its problems but it does succeed at being a season finale of a tv show. It had an arc and answered the questions it set out. I duh it and I'm looking forward to season 2 when it drops.

A large part of season 2 is gonna be Loki working at this new version of the TVA. He's gonna try and find Sylvie as well as who the new Kang Variant is/what he wants etc. In the new TVA, there is a statue of a pharaoh. He looks like the he who remains variant and is a reference to Pharaoh Rama Tut. Who was one of Kang's alternate identities in the comics.

Because Mobius doesn't remember him he could try a different approach. He could try and blend in even building a false identity for himself while he investigates. Which would inevitably blow up in his face but what fun it will be.

Loki is going to pop up in Doctor Strange 2: Multiverse of Madness. So we might see a tease of this status quo. He would work with Doctor Strange and Wanda as part of the TVA. They might even form a mini team like they did in Ragnarok. Meet the Muskiteers of the Multiverse.

I really don't like this heat wave. It gives me headache, nausea, and inability to sleep or to perform any kind of physical exercise harder than brushing my teeth. Anything more than that makes me dizzy or even causes little contraceptions contractions. (Lost in the language there :D)

I don't have the strength to even stand on my feet while doing household chores... Which I'm unable to do anyway because you know, everything is exhausting and stuff like cooking and doing laundry just heats up our apartment even more. :(

I'd just want to at least cook or something.

Some friends, knowing how unwell the heat makes me atm, just randomly picked up my husband and me with their air conditioned car and drove to the seashore, where we cooled ourselves in the sea, had a picnic and studied the Bible together.

So now I'm tired but happy and basically just thinking "What a wonderful day, such wonderful people". I guess I'm gonna sleep well, or at least better tonight, despite the heat!

Also, it's the fourth or fifth time this month a butterfly flies to our hallway to spend the night and leaves around noon. I'm wondering if it's the same one. Nevertheless, it's cute and I love to watch it. It seems to already know where's the open door to get out after it wakes up from the ceiling :D

Maybe because of the pandemic, it's getting much easier to cry about stuff these days.
A stray cat that me and my neighbors have been feeding and sending to the vet have died.
I managed to see his face one last time as the neighbors are burying him in a grave they made.
For a sickly cat, he sure lasted long, for about 4 years.

It's slowly hitting me that I can't pat him or carry him anymore.
He's a good boy.

My stomach hurts. Not too much to really worry about it, but still. What annoys me is that finally the temperature here is comfortable enough to get stuff done (stuff like laundry, and gosh I miss baking bread!) and now I'm too much in pain to do anything.

Speaking of heat, the concept of heaters, radiators or fireplace is a very, very alien concept to me over here X3

The one and only time we actually used a fireplace is when we went to a mountain resort many years ago and the temperature was cold.
It felt almost like a novelty, where we can do those things we see Westerners do on TV, like chopping firewood and lighting up the fireplace to keep warm.

To the heat discussion:

Where I live (Finland), it's vice versa: people from e.g. southern Europe keep asking how can we live with the cold. Or how is it even possible to have +30 °C/86 °F during July and -30°C/22°F during February...

But what is the most shocking for e.g. exchange students is that during summer, the sun sets barely at all, and during winter the sun rises barely at all. In the far North, it actually doesn't set at all for some weeks during the summer and it doesn't rise at all for some weeks during the winter.

I didn't know that was abnormal until I went to Germany :D
