  • Um... Shall we take dmc2 into consideration? Dmc2 was by far the worst dmc... More fact than opinion  Then they made dmc3 which rocked, and dmc 4 which also rocked. Even having made a bad game like dmc2, Capcom still managed to come back on top form and give us the epicness that is 3 and 4. I think with dmc, they have learnt from their mistakes. Having said that, whatever way they chose to bring Vergil back, I am sure it won't be a bad way at all... I'm sure they will pull it off in style... IMO.
They did the same thing with MMX series and brought Zero back and his fan base was larger then X's. The series died right after that because the fans got tired of him and they ruined his character. They do not want to make this same mistake.
 Dude, I just said it's about game play... Don't you think I already know all that stuff? Many want him back, and if Capcom want to please fans they will bring him back. No matter how, he will return... I hope he will, and I believe he will... Nuff said.

I'm just telling you my views btw.
Everyone knew Vergil wasn't going to be in DMC4 before it dropped and the sells still soared. Its all about the game play I'm telling you. DMC is not a big story game that needs complex thinking(except with plot holes) DMC series is known for basicly its game play and that's it. I like Vergil also and like I said I don't care if he returns to the story but he needs to be brought back into the game play area as an un-lockable. People would think the Story would very complex but its as simple as 1.2.3. Most people of course would attract to a certain character and like them but it doesn't mean Capcom should just bring him back because of his fanbase. They should bring him back because Capcom will need him to make the game better(which they failed in 4,They honestly could have brought him back but they killed is character off and further more seperated from him from the future of the series. They are making it hard for his character to return by placing him in the situation as they did in DMC4 with his body being destroyed and his soul placed into Nelo Angelo. This is telling me they want nothing more to do with Vergil in the story department. Because its like they are trying so hard to get rid of him even though his fan base is there.
No dude, it made no sense to me . Many things make Devil May Cry a good game, the game play is the main thing, not Dante. I played 1, and I was interested in Vergil/Nelo... I found his character interesting to say the least. Playing dmc3:se just blew me away, the game is awesome. Vergil made that game so great in terms of its story, and whereas Nero brings in something new, Vergil should be brought back due to how unfair he has been treated. I'm tired of dmc fans looking down on him. If he had his own playable path in 3, without it just being like Dante's, then he would be respected more IMO. Because this isn't the case, he is most likely always going to be seen as 3rd or 4th best character. You can't really kill Lady or Trish either, because they add more to the story. I know we could live without them, but to me Dante would not be the same if he didn't have his pals.
Actually it made alot of sense. I said characters like Vergil and Trish or w/e can be killed off and the series can still do well without them. But characters like Dante and Nero are very needy to the fans because 1. DMC=Dante and 2.Nero=New fans(over 1 million of new fans from him). Vergil is better then Nero in my say. But his fanbase could easily looked over from capcom because they don't want to make another mistake in their top selling games. Vergil purpose in DMC is forever gone after DMC1. His goals for him to return would be meaningless because he won't be able to defeat Dante at any cost(Because hey its Dante.) There is no reason to bring him back except for gameplay and that is all. So I'm fine with him not returning to the story but to the gameplay is a different story. I was looking forward to a playable Vergil in DMC4.
ur post made no sense at all. Without Vergil, dmc3 would have no story, and 1 would have less of a back story. It doesn't matter what we all say, there is more chance in him being brought back, then there is of him not. And Nero only just arrived. Although I like him, his fan base should not be bigger than Vergil's already. You look down on him as a character in dmc, and why? He is strong, he rivals Dante... And was the only one who could rival Dante until Mundus and Nero showed up...
