Does anybody else misses the Onimusha series besides me?

Onimusha Warlords was my first PS2 game, the second goes to Devil May Cry. I still have fond memories of taking down the evil Samanosuke clone(my favorite boss of any videogame that I've played thus far),passing the dark realm, and taking an eternity to defeat Fortinbras!^_^ Its a bit...

Does the original PSone memory cards have region lock?

I just recently bought a japanese memory card, without realizing it was japanese because there were english words inscribed in the front. When i placed it into my American PS2(its backwards compatible with PSone memory cards), the card was not picked up. Is it because it was region locked...

What are some of the hardest things you have ever done in the DMC series?

Mine was having to simply beat Devil May Cry on normal mode! I'm not as bad as it seems though. I was eleven when I first played DMC. My uncle gave me a copy a few months after getting my first PS2. I was still very unfamiliar with the PS2 controller. When I got up to the first phantom battle, I...

Does anybody else find it difficult to transition from between DMC and DMC3's style?

Re: Does anybody else find it difficult to transition from between DMC and DMC3's sty Well, I guess I'll do that for DMC3 then.:$

Does anybody else find it difficult to transition from between DMC and DMC3's style?

Whenever I try to play DMC3 after playing DMC for a long while beforehand(vice versa), I always end up having to "practice" in a place where there are no demons at the moment. Do any of you have the same problems?(or do the same thing!^_^)

Everybody must embrace Bayonetta for what it is!

I have infact, never played Bayonetta. What inspired me to do this goddamn thread(and the archrival/competitor one) was because of several comments on the Bayonetta trailer(YouTube) that got me completely fired up. I don't recall exactly what they were. One of them obviously came from a pathetic...

 Thanks so much for the reply! It shows that you really understand what I was trying to say. Thanks again.

I understand that but I meant to defend REAL action games from the rest of the crap. No offense by the way.

Everybody must embrace Bayonetta for what it is!

Actually, I wasn't saying that Bayonetta was a rip off of Dante;I was just listing one of the possible reasons why people are against it. I'm very glad that you changed though!;)

Everybody must embrace Bayonetta for what it is!

Its seems like most you do not like Bayonetta in some way. Whether its the character design or the belief that Bayonetta is a rip off of Dante;its undeniable that Bayonetta is far better than any other DMC,GOW(God of War), or other generic action titles to date or even to come. Like it or not...

rival/cWhat is Devil May Cry's biggest archompetitor?

WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED IN YOU! GOW's combat system is just half the problem. The enemies were poorly designed. They take an obscene amount of hits to kill. A grunt could survive what seems like 50 lashes of Kratos' "Chain weapon" before dying. The bigger beasts takes a thousand hits. It feels...

rival/cWhat is Devil May Cry's biggest archompetitor?

I'm aware of Bayonetta. However, Bayonetta actually gives credit to the DMC series. Hell, Bayonetta was made from the same Devil May Cry(one) development team. I thought Bayonetta expanded upon the hardcore, stylish action that was DMC's signature gameplay. I would say Bayonetta is family to...

rival/cWhat is Devil May Cry's biggest archompetitor?

What is DMC' series biggest archrival/competitor? Devil May Cry was another outstanding innovation to the Video game industry. Like "Doom", it has inspired many other games later on. But unlike "Doom", Devil May Cry has yet to receive serious recognition today. All you hear about is the...
