When NT goes on and literally brags about how "deep" the story in DmC is supposed to be, I expect a pretty damn good ending to finish of this "epic" tale. But no, nothing of sort happened. It was a cliche and lame ending.
You haven't played the entire game to see how the story plays out, you've just seen the ending taken out of context.
I'm not gonna say the story is good or bad because I haven't played the full game yet either, but I just don't understand how you are going to declare the ending lower quality after seeing a ****ty quality video where you can barely see or hear what's going on. Don't you think that's an unfair judgement?

But this was the first time NT wrote the story correct? I recall reading they hired someone else to write Heavenly Sword and Enslaved (correct me if I'm wrong)??
No you're right, but people don't write things alone and styles do pass on from writer to writer.

You cant judge a story from the ending-.- Do you just skip to the back of a book and read the ending and go "this is complete crap!". Did you want Virgil to die? I know i didnt i mean its Virgil so why kill em off

I knew thats how things would turn out. I didnt think Virgil would randomly become evil and attack Dante i figured that had to have major disagreement to fight about.. It looked like it was on Devil Hunter or Human difficulty (think thats the one below Nephilim) which to me isnt normal mode, Nephilim is normal mode while Devil hunter is for people new to the game. Anyway back to the ending, did anyone else notice his eyes were glowing different colors? One was red and the other was blue.

It seems like one of 2 things will happen now, we'll get more story through dlc or a DmC 2 possibly with both character playable on disc if the Virgil dlc doesnt kill em off.

I was reminded of Lady.

That was one of the worst endings to a game I've ever seen. Seriously, that's maybe on par with Devil May Cry 2. Which would be fine and dandy if I wasn't hearing various interviews and such telling me how high quality the story was. I was hoping, since the gameplay of DMC3 and DMC4 was destroyed to give us this that MAYBE we'd at least get a decent story, but I'm left cringing at the writing and dialog of every single cutscene that gets posted.

Not to mention the fight itself. I'm not sure what difficulty that was, but I pray it was on easy. That was a joke difficulty-wise. Add in seven 5-second cutscenes to slow down the fight as much as humanly possible. Even better, loved watching Donte miss so many attacks by attack IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. Why'd lock-on get taken out again?

Ugh. I was all for a redesigned Dante. That idea in and of itself had potential if the game was given the same feeling and stylish gameplay of the previous games, but this is what we got instead. Sorry capcom, I sincerely hope you realize that people still want Devil May Cry 5 and decided to make that instead of scraping it altogether if this game ends up failing.

I'd really like more DLC campaigns, I just hope it doesn't hold them back in creating new mechanics. If they can introduce new gameplay mechanics I'm all for more DLC content instead of just going to the sequel. Let the game take its time with the fanbase, address some things on DLCs and when you have a clear picture of the best possible way to make DmC2, then you make a full blown sequel for the next gen consoles.

Come on, you gotta agree that the DmC ending was lame, not bad, just lame. And if you "love" it, you most likely have to be a person that can like or love things of lower quality.

No they do not have to agree that is the beauty of having different opinion/tastes, you do not like when someone questions or dismiss yours so why are you doing it to someone else who likes something you don't? it makes no sense if you want people to respect how you feel about something do the same for others then acting as if someone can't like something you do not like.

I heard everything fine in the video, might have helped that I was wearing headphones. So I know exactly what they said. And even though the ending is taken out of context, would it had mattered? It was pretty clear what happened, what Dante and Vergil was figthing about. The ending was simple cliche and lame. Especially the lines.

"I don't know who I am".

Let's take this for example, your grammar isn't good. I can barely read what message you want to send here and I'm sure there is others that can agree with me here.

With that example, it is safe to say that the writing in this ending was just, underwhelming and cliche. Many people will agree to this, especially writers that knows what they do.

Both of this are facts.

Good day sir.

I've just realized what we've all to look forward to...months and months of fans arguing about the game once it's out!:

Everywhere we go, negative and positive views will collide, fires were rage in threads, youtube comments, myspace, twitter, msn, NO FAN WILL BE SAFE! THE INTERNET WILL BE CONSUMED AND THE UNIVERSE WILL IMPLODE!

There is only one course of action we can take to avert such a catastrophe disaster on such a feaces throwing scale...

...Cheer up everybody, you know what they say...^_^

Wow, calling this game having the worst ending is stretching it a bit, don't you think? Or maybe you haven't played that many games.
Yeah, it was a lot worse than what we were expecting, but this is no Mass Effect 3 or Assassin's Creed III.
