Vergil will catch the brazzilian fever and his sickness will inspire Dante t kill mundus and when Dante returns Vergils sickness will have passed and they will live happily ever after

Because Vergil and Dante are twins, maybe their abilities as Nephilim were split in the progress? Remember identical twins are formed when the egg divides into two seperate embryos. That happening could have effected who inherted which gifts from their parents. Say Dante can only do Devil Trigger, while Vergil can only do an Angelic Trigger. They'd be two halfs of the same person, but incomplete as Nephilim.

Perhaps that would be enough for Vergil to get power driven to betray Dante, if he felt that the only way he could rise to full power was if his brother's own existence was wiped clean and he took what powers he had, much like how Dante gains new gifts from fallen foes.

Notice as well in the opening sequence there is a lot of focus put on the fact that Dante is capable of healing himself. What if this is a trade Vergil doesn't have and wishes to possess, and reason that shot is given so much focus is because it'll come up as a plot-point later on?

Vergil could see Dante as nothing more than a tool to reach his goal, and once that tool's fulfilled it's purpose, he'll get rid of it and take what he believes was always meant to be rightfully his and make himself a full-fledge Nephilim, or attempt to that is.

Really though, Dante should've seen it coming.

There is those mentions of how Dante possesses a gene that Vergil doesn't...

It was mentioned during the DmC panel my buddy went to for the GameStop manager's conference. He took notes just for me, because he knew I was excited about it. One of the interesting things that was mentioned was that Dante was recruited by Vergil because Dante had a specific gene that no one else did.

Could be tied to it being something similar to what you mentioned, and could be the entire reason why he's the only one who seems to get dragged into Limbo. His demonic genes might be more prominent, so he's able to exist in Limbo (a demonic realm), and even control Malice a little bit, like when he uses his Devil Trigger.

There was some weird stuff going on about genes in that DmC prank ending. Something about Phineas absorbing the demon genes from th twins. Don't tell me that was right. :P

The whole thing was confirmed malarkey by Gregaman. The mention of "specific gene" has been on the DMC Wiki for a while, since I put it up there. That "leaked ending" pulled together a lot of known info and just extrapolated from it, and then ran off the deep end.

I don't think they would make Vergil randomly evil. What seems most likely from what has been shown is that Vergil's plan to stop the demons will have a cost that Dante isn't willing to pay (unfortunately there is a significant chance that the cost will be Kat's life) and Dante will fight Vergil in order to force Vergil to try a different method or for revenge if Vergil is able to implement his plan before Dante finds out about it.

I'm sticking to my " Nephillim Trigger Dante vs Full Demon Trigger Vergil" Theory. Vergil does not have anything against his only flesh and blood left in the world, in fact he wants him to join with him in creating a "New World". Vergil grew up as an orphan along with his brother, they had to fend for themselves for years. As years came and went, he saw how vile and corrupt humanity is. He feels as though he is special. he feels like he his the perfect being and he should eliminate all the imperfections in the world, with the help of Dante. he saw Angel/Demons were no different from humans so they must be eliminated also. long story short, Dante refuse to go along with his plan, they fight. THE END.

Why would Dante get a full Nephilim Trigger, while Vergil (another Nephilim) gets a "full demonic trigger," (when he's not a full demon)?

Vergil was orphaned like Dante, but Vergil didn't have to fend for himself. Vergil was adopted by a rich family. He had everything provided for him, and was smart enough to graduate school early. He even became independently wealthy with a security encryption program he created. In those terms, Vergil had the exact opposite upbringing as Dante.

I had a theory a few months back saying Vergil may absorb what is left of Mundus' demonic energy, after the the battle with Dante, for him to overlap his angelic powers. By doing this, it will result in a fully demonic Vergil. Vergil reveals his true motives, and hatred towards Humanity. Dante feels betrayed by his brother, and sadness from the loss of Kat because she resembles his mother as she dies in his arms. He sheds a single tear, then suddenly turns into his Nephillim Trigger.

The fact that he is the final boss only means Vergil has some sort of interior motives nobody else knows about. BTW, where are you getting your DmC info from. Vergil said it himself that Mundus thought Dante was the only child of Sparda/Eva. If Vergil is as wealthy and intelligent as you say he is, he would have a significant amount of publicity. Rapture News would have been all over Vergil, and Mundus would have known about his existence. There is no way Vergil stayed incognito for so long.

They really have to explain a lot of stuff. For example, if both Dante and Vergil are twins, then how Mundus ( the supreme Devil) only knows about Dante?

That's strange and suspect, but that's not the point now, though. :)

I don't think Vergil will betray Dante. First, because if Vergil really hated Dante, he would have killed him as soon as he could, lol. It seems Vergil will help Dante to recover his old memories, to awake his devil trigger and so on.

Betraying is something very personal. I don't think that's the case.

I think Vergil has a focus on something. He really needs Dante's help to seal Mundus away. Maybe after defeating Mundus, Vergil notices there is a bit of Mundus power remaining...

Vergil thinks the world needs it, he thinks the world needs a powerful leader. Both Vergil and Dante fight becase of it. After being defeated, Vergil goes and try to pick up that fragment of Mundus powers. However, it was a trap.

As soon as Vergil absorbs it, he slowly starts to be dragged to hell. What's going on?, he asks. Then, he disappears and it's answer is gonna to be explained in the sequel.

However, there is DLC Downfall. So, I guess Vergil is trapped in hell and must find a way out. As soon as he finds it, he swears revenge on Dante. That's how the feud began....
