Will Dante change his look?

You can relate to someone who is seen as an outcast and labeled something you are not (or labeled because you are but in a negative light). You can relate to someone who feels like he has no where to go. The circumstances are different, but the feeling is the same.

Like how you can relate to super heroes. Yeah, you don't have powers, but you can see parallels of discrimination for just being different. Don't take it so literally.
But just because he is wearing something, means you can't relate to him?

NEWS FLASH: Half of the most relatable characters wear spandex super hero outfits.

Again.
You are taking this too literally.

Not to beat a dead horse, Monsieur Lulz, but I did say 'more relatable' as in more relatable than the original DMC characters. Clearly the premise is still fairly unrealistic, but now a bit more presentable.

Not to mention that Dante's motivations make a lot more sense this time around- he's clearly got very little sympathy for demons compared to the original Dante, who seemed to kill just to look cool most of the time. Also, it's bad enough when demons kill your Mom at a young age, but enslaving you is another story altogether. Dante is no less a victim of the demonic influence in Limbo than anyone else.

Back on topic, the new Dante has also become something of a symbol of what it means to take a fresh look at a game series even after we've reached photo-realistic graphics. It would be weird to abandon his new image canonically when it says so much about the game and who he is- who Ninja Theory is.

Just sayin'.

He has become a bit of an icon for "The ability to take a fresh step."
