Why they do not reveal anything about DmC's story

Right now we just know a bit but not the whole story.
We don't know anything about story.
All we know is setting of the game and a little bit of combat mechanics.
Why would the give us details about the story anyways?, I haven't seen a newly released game with uncovered story YET.

A lot of people keep asking for glimpses of the story

You should the title of your topic to "Story speculation", because believe me discussing why they aren't revealing more about DmC story is like trying to drink a glass of water with no water in it.

To discuss the story:
What is it that disguises the demons so that humans can't see their real form. Is it the cameras? I doubt it. A camera's function is to record and spot people/objects. The demonic camera in DmC gameplay clearly spots Dante and says "DAANTE!", meaning their function is to spy on humans and finding people like Dante who know that demons are in controll.

So then what is upholding the illusion that disguises the demons? In DmC Extended trailer at carnival you can clearly see demons inside carnival counters.
They have used "They Live" movie as inspiration source for DmC story. In "They Live" there was a transmittor on a roof that sent signals to humans brains so that they saw a human when they looked at a disguised alien.
So is demons in DmC using technology as well to disguise themself?

And the demons are everywhere as Dante said. Is there a demon among the police who is stearing the "criminal" spotlight on Dante?

And will get them when the game is released.
End of story, it's not like your (not yours specifically, but of all those who constantly ask for glimpses) life depends on that little glimpse of story.
There are other things to be occupied with while waiting for release so, what's the hurry?

It is probably because the story is what everyone is curious about
As they release gameplay footage Every one really is so anticipated about the story

Another great example of this would definetely be Friday the 13th (the original mind you ) where everyone wonders what is under the mask

I'm not asking for spoilers because then whats the point, i'm just asking for a summary of what the story's main hook is.

For example DMC4 is the tale of nero whose this dude who works for the order of fortuna which is a group of people that fights demons. One day he gets demon powers and Dante comes in and starts a ruckus. Now he has to get to the bottom of this scenario before crap hits the fan.

Something like that.

I think there are good reasons for them not to reveal the story and provide answers, namely gameplay concerns but it is a double edge sword. People dont like what they see and are a little impatient. They want to know what the big deal is.

well put!

Well, it was sort of revealed in an interview with a producer that the demons are preparing for a full-scale invasion of earth. Also, there's a screenshot of what seems to be that very same invasion from the famitsu article on DmC.

I think they're not revealing too much cuz well they want people to buy the game... maybe they're thinking how to show something that will please the people that like D*C but at the same time keep it a mystery.
The other reason might be that they're just too afraid or just not ready with it. In my opinion the story is their last weapon and probably the last thing that can impress a lot of people including me so if they fail there then this was just a big waist of time.

hehe you call it D*C too glad to know also i've renamed vergil to 'virgin' as he might appear in this game

1) Don't double post. If you want to add something, please use the Edit button;)

2) You already established your views about disliking the new DmC game. Continually mocking it in multiple threads though does not do you any justice because the game still isn't out - thus we know nothing about it - and 2nd, many people have great expectations of it, and could very well get insulted by your words.

:)
