its a frivolous attempt

Now now, don't be so quick to shoot other people down.

If they can not like the game and stay civil about it, by all means, more power to them. It takes guts not to freak out about something.

Thanks Storm Silves :)

Not a problem. I think if a person can voice their complaints in a civil and non-fanboyish manner, then that person has a lot of guts.

No one here said you had to like the game anyway. ;)

i wasn't being uncivil...i simply said that capcom isn't going to change anything so it doesnt matter

I understand that. However, it doesn't mean you cannot try. Most petitions do not matter, yet people try anyway. It's the human need of hope that makes people do such pointless things.

Well, I just hope that the new Devil may cry's will involve more missions with a huge variety of enemies.

Its not that I dislike the game, I just dont think that this re-envision is Devil May Cry, DmC doesnt present anything I recognize in a Devil May Cry game.

I understand that this game itself could be spectacular, but the reboot insinuates that along with Dante's appearance and character, staple elements like Devil May Cry's over-the-top Combat wont be successfully (if at all) expressed within this game.

I think it would have done Capcom and Ninja Theory better, to announce DmC as a sort of addition to the DMC universe, not a rebranding as they are currently doing.

I know its early days, but these are the concerns I hold as someone who is very passionate about the series, call this an exaggeration but DMC is one the few series I have a serious stake in.

I see what you mean. I too think that Capcom and NT would've been better saying that this was a spin-off, not a reboot. Maybe then there wouldn't have been as big of a backlash.

I'll still get the game, and probably enjoy it too. ^_^

I think they should have made it part of the universe as well, and just had had this kid be some random devil hunter or hybrid or something. Either that, or they could at least reassure us that the real DMC5 is coming.

(VB's calm mood)
At the end of the day, NO ONE is gonna put the money into your hand, stick a gun in your back and say, "Buy the game bitch".

If anyone thinks that a game looks rubbish, they don't buy it.
Its exactly the same with this

You wanna set up a website, go ahead... just don't stand around shouting about it...
Capcom are aware the recpetion for this game was, shall we say, 'less than favorable', so who knows, they may do something about it
