Why is Vergil in the comic so diffrent from the Vergil in the game?

Well if that's the case then why they didnt make vergil more powerful to the point where vergil was killing Dante and the only reason he would win is by having help from Kat using a spell cause in the game the white hair symbolizes you have unlocked your inner devil vergil been had it so his DT should be way stronger than Dante's
I just thought of something. In the comic all of the onyxes formed together revealing that they were the prison itsself. Kat and Vergil worked together to send the prison through a vortex. Do you see what im getting at here. If Vergil would have been stronger than Dante in the game and like you said Kat could have used one of her spells to help Dante send him to another Vortex thus Vergils Downfall would begin. That would have made more sense then the ending we got.

He erased his memory and the more he uses DT, the more humanity he loses. Even though he is no part human I'm guessing when you are a hybrid of demon and angel you end up equalized into the human mindset, just my 2 cents. I was also very questioning on the fact of him erasing his own memory. Knowing Vergil I'm not sure if he even did it or not but who knows.

he erased them at the end of the comic so his feeling wouldn't get in the way
hmmm i see. You told me that Vergil might have forgotten how to use the DT but i dont thing that is possible because if he completely erased his mind then he would have forgot about his parents again. Vergil still is hiding something. Also in the game Vergil states that Dante's still something just like how he found Kat. I forgot what he said lol.

He only erased his and Kat's short term memory from when they got close

"he's raw, just like you were"

Thanks for the links Noheart, now back to topic :)
About Vergil caring for Kat in game, when I first played trough the mission where you protect him and kat while they set the order hq to expode, when Vergil first notices Kat he seemed suprised, after i replayed the level I noticed, he is relieved, i tought for a sec he would go and hug her had not Dante interrupted, tough that moment was ruined by his later "we can't save Kat lets just leave her to die without saying goodbye" moment, it still may forshadow hidden feeling.
About his true DT not getting used, remember the fight, Vergil just "playing around", smiling "I got dis sh*t under control" attitude, then the stab came out of nowhere, maybe he could have used his DT had he saw the need, but in the comic after kat passes: anger, rage "Im gonna blow up the world" attitude, or if this is not enough, if you played DMC 1, remember how Dante got his true form to fight mundus? Sparda's form? Trish's what seemed as death that led to dante's what? that's right: anger, rage "Im gonna blow up the world" Anger equals unlocking god powers i guess, like in Asura's wrath

Vergil erases each other's memories? That's the dumbest thing every. This reads worse than a fanfic ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Maybe but someone erasing their own memory in addition to someone else's because their feelings would get in the way? In general amnesia plots and erasing memories are really dumb.
I guess it is a cheap way out. Besides, I don't get how erasing Dante and Vergil's memories would stop them being found by Mundus. Sure, if he didn't know about Vergil, then he was safe and didn't need mind wiping.
And as for Dante, Mundus could have found him by sight. There are demons in the child homes Dante was sent to, so why didn't they recognise him? Or maybe that was why Dante kpet breaking out of them....and that report Bob says about Dante killing a nurse (probably a demon trying to kill him). Wiping a Dante's memory as a child was not going to protect him from a load of demons out to kill him.

As for what Vergil did with him and Kat, that was a cheap way out too. Couldn't they have just talked it through and decided to be professional? Is Vergil that weak that he was unable to control his feeling for Kat and his only option was to erase?:/

especially since he erased them so he wouldn't use the devil trigger to protect kat... and erased his memory of the reason he shouldn't use the devil trigger

He's different in the comics because he needs Kat to find Dante for him. He did not care for Kat in DmC because she was not useful since he had Dante (or so he thought)

Yeah i get where your coming from. When i saw Vergil smiling and stuff in the middle of the fight i was like" aaaaaah hes going in!!!" Now wthat i think back to it i kinda felt like he was like "Time to put this dude in his place. Time to show him whos in charge". I felt this way because Dante always teased Vergil about him being stronger.

Vergil: We did it. :)
Dante: I did it >:D

Dante: Im stronger.
Vergil: Im smarter.

The thing is they found Dante though. Kat was close to death but Vergil still didnt leave her. Vergil is just so confusing.

The sad part is they only knew each other for like a day lol.

In addition to making all the character development in the story completely redundant as well.

...Although Kat is still completely crucial to all of his schemes, and literally none of them would have worked without her omniscient scrying abilities. Without her reconnaissance it wouldn't have been possible to defeat Succubus, Bob or Mundas, and the game makes no effort to show that she is in any way replaceable.
