Why DmC Devil May Cry’s Dante Is Part Angel

I think that the meaning behind this angels are not specifically good statement meant that not all of them are good.
Let's play a little Jedi mindtrick and pretend that angels are Jedis and demons are Siths now there is also a grey area, fallen angels or in star wars terms dark Jedis.

So what I'm trying to point here is that a statement like that doesn't give any proof that angels are either good or bad in general.

And as a reminder: Lucifer was the highest ranking angel before he fell, and demons are former angels.

I think it's actually exacly that. I'd put money on it been that angels won't be any better than demons in this game. Chances are that the only worth while one'll be Eva.

And we can also assume that angels still hate demons, since they are not working together, or are they?
Maybe they fight over the control of humans or something, anyways these are not biblical angels and demons, 'cause basically their actions won't define which ones they are.

But with knowing all that, it still doesn't make me feel any better about it. It might just all be on how they portray them.

Edit: I have never watched inuyasha. Is that anime really so nuked worthy that many games was inspired by it?

From far as I know only DMC was inspired by it... and I tell you why....a white haired half human half demon demon hunter who carries around a large sword wears red and is the son of a legendary demon is pretty much what Inuyasha is as well as having a power hungry older brother who have a long yet thin sword and wants to surpass his legendary father. Only difference Inuyasha takes place in the feudal era so no guns and modern weaponry and DMC uses western and gothic design and feel while Inuyasha is the traditional fuedal Japanese design.

So the formula is this...Inuyasha + Resident Evil + MegaMan Zero=DMC.

I see.But there are much more formula honestly.
It's Resident Evil + Blade + Inuyasha + Castlevania + Hellsing + John woo = DMC.
I didn't include megaman zero because it way too far from the genre of DMC and it was released 2002.

^ I thought Blade was more inspiration for the first game than inuyasha.

so far im not really digging it since we haven't actually been shown anything involving angels so far that is interesting which makes the reveal that he is half-angel not worth the headache.

plus it probably was something that was better left for the game to reveal.

most of his angel powers shown in game so far arent that unique or where just things he could already do.

so its "ehh" so far.

i think Dante's persona, clothes and everything was inspired by Blades demeanor but i could be wrong.
Like I said I only seen the movie and the anime and in terms of persona I only see a resemblance between DMC2 Dante and Blade....clothes............DMC2 yeah....DMC1...no.....okay maybe a little bit but its more of a resemble in DMC2.

If only seen the anime and the movie and in those Blade was more serious and cold like DMC2 Dante rather than jokey, fun loving, cocky, and cheesy one liners(but hey its Marvel comics so its possible).

But most of DMC's overall plot came from Inuyasha or DMC incorporated a lot of Inuyasha's plot rather than Blade but Dante does have a lot more in common with Blade rather than Inuyasha.

Van Hellsing.....you can say that but its mainly because Blade was inspired by Van Hellsing so it appears Kamiya took inspiration from Van Hellsing since he took inspiration from Blade which took inspiration from Van Hellsing.

Pretty much the same with demonic powers, but it's not like they have shown us anything yet. ^_^

Kobayashi did say that DMC (specifically DMC 1) was inspired by Blade

Which did you play first?
DMC3 or DMC1?
DMC3 first then DMC1......but it doesn't matter because DMC1 already had elements from Inuyasha but DMC3 just added more.....plus I didn't noticed it til someone here pointed it out.

When people say DMC took inspiration from Blade....I go.....yeah and?

When people say DMC has a lot in common with Inuyasha...I say....HOLY SH*T the resemblance is uncanny.

But that's more of a coincidence than anything. Itsuno took Dante's red coloring from the Power Rangers (Super Sentai), like he did with Viewtiful Joe and his white hair is due to Japanese mythology. It is also a custom in Japan (like in most other countries) that the eldest son would inherit the father's possession, including his sword. In DMC 1, Sparda used Yamato, so it made sense that Vergil would inherit and use it. If I can remember, it was the same with Inuyasha's father and how Sesshomaru would inherit his sword.

For DMC 1 specifically, it doesn't really have many similarities with Inuyasha. Outside of the fact that both are about red color wearing, white- haired demon half- breeds who fight against other demons, there really aren't any similarites.

Really, saying that DMC is similar to Inuyasha is like saying that Iron Man is similar to Batman. Yes, the two similarities, but that doesn't really mean anything. Saying that DMC is similar to Blade, however, actually gives rise to thinking that maybe there might be some inspiration there.

Hmmm... if there are many half demon-half human type of fictional characters, are there any half angel-half human characters?

Angel from X-men does not count.

we cant really say much until the game actually comes out. but i think the angels wont necesarily be good. they just hate demons. thats all. tameen said they werent conventional angels. itd be interesting if their power conflict with demon power so dante has to struggle to keep his powers from tearing him apart.
also it adds a little more conflict in dante. i mean he actually has no obligation to save the human world at all. so there is a lot of room for story telling and development there.
