Some of the things they do to themselve regarding Pony fandom is pretty disturbing.

Anyway. DMC4 got a bluray in Japan for their preorders, this one needs something more interesting. With every DMC I alway wnated something special but they always fall short to impress me with Colector's Editions. RE gets some bad ass ones in Japan, FF's got a few kick ass CE, Halo, Batman, Assasin's Creed, CoD. DMC has never really ever impressed me, though. I guess Capcom doesn't care to come up with anything worth while that makes me go 'HOLY S%#T, I must have that!!!'

I don't think I'd like to find out what they do to themselves.

I agree that they need to include something great for the special edition. America tends to get the short end of the stick when it comes to SEs. Japan gets the best. For once I'd like to see other countries get something either just as good or even better.

America gets the short end of the stick on everything DMC. There is nothing that's related to DMC besides the games and the anime in the US. Books, soundtracks, statuetes, toys, nor any other merchandize make it state side. As far as I know DMC4 is the only game who's soundtrack was released in the US and it's a miracle that the Manga and the novels were ever translated. Nothing else. Artbooks have never been published, soundtracks have to be imported, same with toys and statuetes, and all the other DMC merchandize you'd be lucky to find at e-bay.

You'd think that, since they probably make a lot of money off the American fans, they'd actually give us something to show their appreciation. It's ridiculous.

There are factors to consider, like sales to production cost ratios and so on. Udon, in terms of art books, has published most of Capcom's US releases. I own an english published Okami book signed by the artist herself. Okami, as good as it is, isn't as popular as DMC. Bayonetta isn't as popular as DMC and her artbook is been released stateside in January. So, while I say sales to production cost, why are less popular franchises getting exported? All my DMC books are ether imported or just found them by sheer luck at a comic, Japanese or anime shops, but they are all Japanese publishings... and one Chinese bootleg.

I always wanted for them to publish the artbooks, above all else, in English. I want to know what the artist are saying about their work. The soundtracks and other products aren't as crutial on the translation deparment, but books need to be translated.

For some weird reason DMC is one of the few franchises that lacks Japanese and English speaking fans (and Spanish for that matter) so there are not that many people who are willing or interested in translating the matterial. If there was a Spanish translation of 'em I'm sure me and other Spanish speaker would be willing to translate the stuff, but just like there is no English, there is no Spanish.... And we are assed out.
