No, it's not at all. The ending of DMC2 is yet to be announced but that it years away from now. It's just set very far into the future and Capcom weren't happy with it.

capcom is ignoring 2 it doesnt exist ppl think its a future game cuz dante is his strongest in 2 but if they ignore if even for a bit it doesnt exist

yeah they are ignoreing it but like neros devil saied (it is far in the future) it may be the end for devil may cry story and I'm saying that because capcom didn't tell us when the story happened because they don't know when to end the game story so it could be a very long from now but we will know if dmc2 is the end or not?

if dmc2 is in the future or not it is still a part of the game even if capcom ignored it
