What was your first ever console?

the sega genesis and the nes were both my first consoles back when i was 4. although ps1 had already come out my parents decided to get me started with these and i have to say that i had the best time with those consoles than anyother console i owned afterwards the classics were fantastic such as megaman x ninja gaiden (original series),sonic series shinnobi series and so on. and even today i have those consoles and whenever i feel like playing megaman x i just hook it up and WHAM :D

Ooh...well we borrowed a Sega Megadrive from a family friend for a few months, but my first console that was mine was a PSOne. I only ever played on Apple Macintosh's and PC's up until then.

Some machine that my Grandad gave to me that didnt have a controller just knobs and switches and variations of tennis and other sports on it in pong format. Wasnt this console but was similar, mine was much bulkier and I believe it was released before this one as this looks high tech compared to mine.

The Atari! Now I'm showing my age :/
Space invaders! It really frightened me that the more you kill, the faster they got and the music had that "dut dut dut da da dut" which also sped up >_<
I think we had Pac Man and Centipede too :D

I PLAYED THAT ONE! I completely forgot about it...good grief, that takes me back. If you hadn't have mentioned "grandad", I probably wouldn't be feeling quite so old right now...

Was the Amiga like a PC? My father had this PC where all you could do was use a Paint programme with these dragon pictures you could colour in and we had Gods and Nightbreed game (I loved that movie when I was wee, pretty much grew upon Clive Barker, no wonder I was a weird kid ^_^)
I want to play Gods again now.

I had an Atari too. Wish I still had it. I sold it at a car boot sale. >_<
Dunno if an Atari counts as a console, so my first console would be the NES complete with a zapper gun to zap ducks on duck hunt. ^_^

Was just a Keyboard pretty much with a floppy disk drive slot though we had an external one too. Look up Commodore 64 too, some of my favourite games ever were on those consoles.

Settlers, Sim City, Flashback, Another World, Cannon Fodder, SimAnt, North and South, Prince of Persia, Golden Axe, Desert/Jungle Strike, Chaos Engine and so many more. I still played that console for many years even after I had my Playstation the Amiga was my favourite console. Had over 300 games and then my dad sold it and all my games to his friend, I was devastated.

^Desert/jungle strike! I'd totally forgotten about those games! I can't remember which console I had them for? The Mega Drive maybe?
