Now Tameem was spokesman and leader of NT, and he goes on to say "Dante is not cool" with a illogical reasoning, and i should go ahead and accept that?
I like Dante, and there are others that feel stronglier (is that a word?) about him as a character.
So not only did we not want a reboot of Dante, the character was rebooted by someone who tells us "Dante is not cool"," Dante is laughable" and so on.
And what's funny? His reasoning for Dante not being cool was false.

Being humble, i may be wrong...but i swear i recall him speaking of the matter of Dante not being cool as if it was a fact. I'll try to find a source.

First of all - just because a character is sexy, nude or stuff doesn't mean they are hookers or slutty. DMC 4 Trish looked like a wild western kind of prosittitute, while DMC 1 Trish was just a sexy babe. But if it's a crime that Trish is sexy, then why is Dante walking around naked in DmC? And why is there club angels that have less clothes on them than Trish? Even Lesbian sex.

First i want to say, i've not seen the character design that supposedly looked like Dante. Therefor, unless i see it...i have little to no belief in that they exist. Similar to how Tameem said they received anti-DmC metal song and comic, but they never shared them with us so that we for ourself could judge if the song and the comic is infact death threats or anti-DmC stuff taken out of proportions.
I think you underestimate what lengths fanboy/girls will go through and what they will do. YouTube videos and forum posts should be enough evidence. Also, this.

That is correct, things that was cool back then isn't cool. But Tameem has told us many times that the inspiration for the character design is from punk movement which is from 1970s.
In same interview he also said that the things that was cool back then that DMC was based on is no longer cool. Which is a ok point, but contradicts DmC because again DmC is based on punk movement and there is even "They Live" rip off storywise. And how old is They Live movie as opposed to Blade?(Blade being a inspiration for Dante).
I don't think you understand what borrowing ideas means. It's possible to take elements from time periods and forum them into their own genre(steam punk for example). Final Fantasy does this a lot with old style area and magic mixed with giant mechanical monsters and sky cities(FFXIII for example)

As for ripping off They Live, and? I'm going to take a wild guess and say you haven't actually seen They Live but are instead referring to what people on YouTube have said and used that one clip in which Roddy Piper takes his glasses of to which you're not using as your own ammunition. (Like everyone else). Something to note that being original doesn't mean the game is bad. Taking elements that seem cool or interesting to add into your game shouldn't be shunned. If that was the case then I was say DMC 1, 2, 3 and 4 are a rip-off off A Divine Comedy in which they STOLE the names of Dante, Vergil, Mundus, Eva, Lucifer etc and used it for their own. (Did you know DMC isn't it's own original idea)?

But what i think is messed up is how he says this as if it's a fact:

What he did with this statement is put a fantasy video game character into a real life scenario, and say "Dante would get laughed out therefor he's not cool" as a valid argument.
If I saw Dante walking around in real life, I would laugh. Heck, I'd also ask, "where's your cowboy hat pardner"? Are you offended by what I say now? I (honestly) think Dante(especially in DMC3) looks borderline stereo typical campy/gay/emo. This only pushed further by the emo type hair, the cheesy one-liners and the leather belt across his chest with no t-shirt. Are you offended?

I wouldn't dislike Tameem if it wasn't for his behavior as a person. I don't blame Tameem for the reboot or that Dante who i liked was rebooted. I don't blame Tameem for doing his job.
But what i will blame him for is disrespecting Dante, and that he did.
I seriously would not laugh at Dante if i was in a bar in Tokyo, and he entered it.

As I point out before, Tolernace works both ways. You being offended by what another person says(even the most vanilla sentence) doesn't help your cause. Saying he's wrong is just as bad.

Trish is pretty, yes. Dresses like a hooker or maybe as if she's part of an S&M club, she sure does. I like Trish but there's no denying that she wears rather $lutty clothing. Just look at how much skin she's bearing and it's all tight leather.

I've worn shorts like Kat and have shown my skin at times because I'm comfortable with my sexuality, so what do you think that makes me? Just because they have a video game girl show some skin does not necessarily mean they are objectifying her. I personally loved Trish and DMC3 Lady because of their strong personalities, but I hated DMC4 lady and Gloria and it had nothing to do with them showing skin. OP I mainly think it was because he said that old Dante wasn't cool and would be laughed out of a bar. They also thought Dante was modeled after him. Personally I don't care what Tameem's opinion is because I'm not that sensitive, I only care whether or not NT makes a good DMC game. All I can say is that I'm satisfied.

The thing is, I'm not comparing her to anything. My point was (as explained above) that Tameem lied to your face and thus ruining his image. My reply was in context to the title. As it should be.


And I want you to go to google images, look up DmC kat and find me ONE image where you see her front body and where her tits aren't hanging out.
