What are your disappointments in DmC Devil May Cry?

time limit does not bother me i never get told to stop or anything by it st the end my limit reads over two hours buy yeah it would be good if i could just take a break in between the ifghts
Guuh, you have no clue how much I envy you for apperently being a much better player then me, cuz the time limit ALWAYS kills me. Seriously, I'm lucky to even get to Poison and then I've got like one minute left sooooooooooo that's pretty much the end of BP for me (TT_TT)

BTW about the coloured enemies. Especially the angel ones.
I usually use DT to erase them of screen but I found out that Osiris Streak does about 3000 Style points in SSS when it's charged up. It's actually one of the most powerfull attacks that does in a quick time. About one fully charged Eryx punch.
Sadly it suffers quite a lot of decreasing attack points in repeating because it's a two-hit attack but I managed to cope with the angel enemies faster with this tip.

- Vergil didn't do sh*t in Dante's story
- Color coded enemies (though I liked the colored shield demons cuz they were unique)
- The only bosses that actually gave me a challenge were Bob Barbas, Mundus Spawn and Vergil (with all the damn move cancelling)
- Would've been perfect if Dante shouted "JACKPOT!" when he does the Ricoshot.
- They should've put in a human Mundus boss fight before he transforms.
- They also should put more things in the Bob Barbas fight like Dante breaking in a reality show or a music video or something
- And last..Vergil's Downfall should've been longer!!

Well that's it for the cons.

What are your disaointments in DmC Devil May Cry?

A lot really.

  • Terrible boss fights (only like 1 was actually good or decent)
  • Lack of bosses and boss fights too
  • Too much cut scene interruptions
  • Color coded enemies
  • Disappointing gameplay
  • Lack of moves (apparently DmC Dante had LESS moves than DMC4 Dante)
  • No challenge (DMD is a joke and Hell mode is MUCH EASIER to beat)
  • Unlikeable characters (for the most part)
  • Dumb Down gameplay
  • Broken Style Ranking System
  • They BUTCHERED SPARDA
  • Too many damn boring platforming sections
  • The weapons for the most part suck (even Rebellion sucks compared to its DMC3 & DMC4 version) in every possible way (design and use)
  • No lock on
  • Lackluster story (basically failed to deliver what NT does best right)
I'm not even listing all of the technical flaws and bugs of this game (THE.MOST.GLITCHES.DMC.GAME.EVER)

This is coming from a guy who used to be excited for this game.

  • Disappointing gameplay

Oh boy...I sense a flamewar coming.

Bring on the flame war. I'll say it if I have to but compared to DMC3 & DMC4 (hell even Bayonetta) DmC's gameplay is disappointed...by itself its pretty good but as a DMC game I expected more than a few sparks.

I expected more than just a few sparks.

Well said my friend, well said. I for one dont get as hyped simply because the gaming industry is lacking in being original. Even with these "new" ideas, no has come and went beyond current expectations rather than upgrading the graphics. DmC IMPOV lacked just about everything compared to the original. Sure even that Chansey dude could complain in regards on how apparently bad the story, characters and level design was. I honestly dont see him creating anything relevant or interesting on the matter either. Those are my 2 cents.

It's simple, when I use Jump cancel, I like using it not to be stylish, but to make my self look like a flying guy having a seizure.
However I have trouble spamming jump cancel with demon weapons, so the color coded demon enemies (and color coded enemies in general) annoy the f*ck.

On the plus side of the game though, this was the first one in the Devil May Cry series where I could jump cancel with out having to have pure luck on my side.

Hey Dusk, just a suggestion, what do you say me and you have an "exchange" with Ninja Theory.
We will use brony power to get the ones who refuse to play the game to be more open minded, and in return, Ninja Theory have to put subtle pony references in the sequel.

Zerolove, I would include you in this plan, but you hate me.

It is sound, maybe. But I prefer if they did it both(As much as I don't like the reboot, even though neutral and have tried it)

What are your disaointments in DmC Devil May Cry?

A lot really.

  • Terrible boss fights (only like 1 was actually good or decent)Agree...more like static set pieces than actual fights. My only difficulty was fighting Vergil.
  • Lack of bosses and boss fights too Yep, would have liked as many boss fights as DMC3...that had a lot.
  • Too much cut scene interruptions I don't mind story cutscenes, but having so many small ones during a level is an interruption.
  • Color coded enemies Din't like those either, especially the blue ones. They took longer to kill with the nagel weapons.
  • Disappointing gameplay It was fun, but a little easy for me.
  • Lack of moves (apparently DmC Dante had LESS moves than DMC4 Dante)Didn't really ntoice that myself.
  • No challenge (DMD is a joke and Hell mode is MUCH EASIER to beat)Yep, first DMC I have got SSS on all levels and completed all modes and secret missions. It gave the high scores out too easily.
  • Unlikeable characters (for the most part) Got to say I liked the characters though.
  • Dumb Down gameplayYep, too easy for me.
  • Broken Style Ranking System Agreeding that it gave out top scores too easily. It didn't help that level completion percentage also went towards the overall level ranking.
  • They BUTCHERED SPARDA I thought he was okay.
  • Too many damn boring platforming sections Those were fine for me, but the angel glide needs a bit more accuracy. Sometimes Dante would fly off over a ledge.>_<
  • The weapons for the most part suck (even Rebellion sucks compared to its DMC3 & DMC4 version) in every possible way (design and use)Got to say this is the first time I acutally used all the weapons in a DMC game.
  • No lock onI got used to that after a while, so it was no big loss to me.
  • Lackluster story (basically failed to deliver what NT does best right)I liked the plot, but the ending did remind me of Enslaved's ending a little.
I'm not even listing all of the technical flaws and bugs of this game (THE.MOST.GLITCHES.DMC.GAME.EVER)Didn't notice any glitches myself, but I have seen a funny glitch video where it looks like a demon is humping Dante against a wall:lol: No wonder the guy hates demons and has trust issues.

This is coming from a guy who used to be excited for this game.
