Yesterday, I watched most of Death Valley. It's an 80's slasher movie about a young kid who faces a serial killer, after he finds a pendant similar to one the culprit wears.
He kills a sheriff with a pickaxe because he enters his home and seems suspicious that he may be the person who bumped off a couple in a trailer a short while ago in the film.
The late Edward Herrmann has a small role in it as the boy's father, at the beginning, when the boy is worried he may be abandoned because of a divorce.
