I feel like Iron Fist always would have been the problem child of the netflix show because he isn't that strong a character in the comics. He's better when he's with his friends than when he's on his own to me.

Don't get me wrong his comics are fun but they haven't cracked that code yet.

Heck him not getting married to misty feels like it set him back more than it set her back.
