I personally give XIII a big 10/10 for Story, Character Development and Sheer Beauty!
But, as Mr. Credo accurately said, it fails to grab me (which is an odd phrase considering all the DoA chatter =p). I dislike being forced into specific party's, narrow corridors and paths give nothing to even the illusion of exploration. The level up system is great (IMO), but without places to have a few repeated battles (without trying to 'trick the game')you often constantly feel like you're not hitting as hard as you should.

I'm on...uhh, the bit where we're going to
rescue Chicken Head and Aussie Girl
, its a nice part of the game! The party suits me, and while the paths are linear the story and the tension to the rescue is building nicely.

But, there have been parts (Especially Hope & Snow sections) where I have had to force myself to play it, while I love the story and the way the characters are growing (with no exceptions), forcing you into party's just makes me feel like Square is trying to make you like 'everyone', when I would far rather learn to master a few, than like everyone.

Also, I think that there should be 4 people to a party, just seems to make sense...that way they could add a ton more enemies at harder levels to even it out. That would also resolve the monotony between battles.

Anyway, backontopic, playing FFXIII =p

^ You don't have to be forced much longer, for no apparent reason you can start choosing character in chapter 10. Why didn't they give you that possibility before? Like, where your at now.

Don't read if you wanna be spoiled about some events in FFXIII
When rescuing chicken head and aussi porn star girl, why can't you play snow? He just stands there like an idiot in cutscenes like he does something at all, but still. I love having Lightning, Fang and Hope so I didn't really care.

Edit: Forgot, back on topic. Playing FFVIII, got the ragnarok, for the third time.

Ah! An incentive to put some more effort into it! :D lol
Thanks for the info Aka, you seem to be a real FFXIII resource -- between yourself and Mr. Credo I imagine there isn't a fact you don't cover ^_^

^ Is that great news? I mean, it may be spoiling someone. Or is it?

I don't have everything covered, still haven't completed all the side quests and grinding yet.

And thanks for the compliment. :D Much appreciated.

^ You seem like a huge silent hill fan. Maybe I should... Nah, ain't worth the search.

Playing some good ol' FFXIII, some more missions complete and a little better stats.

What do you mean, "not worth the search"?! They are most certainly worth it, and they kick Resident Evil's @$$ into the NEW FREAKING MILLENNIUM!

No, no they don't... Oh, I can't say a squat but still, RE is pretty godly.
Silent hill isn't something I find on the gaming shelves, I won't spend weeks searching for the game on the internet.

You could just look them up on Youtube... See, Silent Hill wins because of the pure creepiness factor, and because it's stayed true to it's survival horror roots even in modern times. Resident Evil 5 gives you so much stuff you practically trip on handgun ammo every time you take a step... To me, that doesn't really seem like "surviving". Also, it's less of the jump scares and the gross out factors as it is psychological horror, which is FAR scarier.

Yeah, but I didn't look for the scariness factor. I looked for the game factor, fun factor. Resident evil is a great game and I don't care if it is survival or not. I like the way to shoot and it can be pretty hard on higher difficulties, I went out on ammo in RE5 lots of times.

GODHAND - I am not sure if this game is for educated. Cuz i have never drunk before but am feeling after playing the game. Very hard to dodge attacks as game has "Third person" perspective. Could take a while to get used to it.

Beat God of War 3 in less than a day and it will be getting traded in towards Final Fantasy 13 today. In the meantime I'll be playing tons of Yakuza 3 and a lil' Tekken 6 on the side.
