So that's where Vergil went after his defeat:troll: Got to say, the resemblance is uncanny...

Vergil's soul is released from Mundus's hold after Dante defeats Mundus on Mallet Island. Finally free, Vergil is only a shell of his former self. To create Trish, Mundus took what was left of Eva from Vergil, now leaving him hollow. Mundus also used Vergil to create Nero, as a successor to Vergil. But upon Nero's creation, those still loyal to Sparda spirited Nero away to Sparda's former capital city in Fortuna before the events of DMC1.

The guy in the first picture - he's got to be based on Vergil, Dante and Sparda, otherwise it would be an incredible coincidence. Vergil's face, red clothes like Dante, and purple weapons signifying Sparda  The ultimate swordmaster.

Or at least he has a third twin :troll:

That is ridiculous. That really is a wavy haired Vergil. The face, the nose, the eyes. That's not just someone that has his features, that's the exact same face.
