Vergil Gameplay.

One thing I hope we see more of in Dante's story is more enemies like these! These enemies are demonic, twisted, and very unique! And the levels look amazing as well!

We got doppelganger in there heheh oh man this is great.
So this is the chapter where his adoptive family is attacked. It be really cool to see where this will lead.
Maybe how he found Kat and start the whole Order thing, too.

That's one thing I'm very interested in. Where does this take place and at what point in time? Is this before Vergil started the Order? Is it before he recruited Dante? Is it after DmC?

Really good question, CG.

The Capcom-Unity post says it shows how he got to where he is in DmC's story, but we really don't know much about Vergil at all. This could take place before, during, or right after the main story.

He looks a lot angrier than he does over there at the right of the screen though. I really can't wait to see that character progression in the main story.

Also, I feel dumb for not thinking about this before:
NT would already have at least some of Vergil's attacks, skills and abilities planned out because he's a boss in the main game.

Exactly.
This story has a mansion on fire, that's definitely his adoptive home. BTW: there is a heart there. Could it be a representation of his own heart the same way the statue is guarding Dante's?

The enviornments look like some twisted demonic parallel universe which is totally different from Dante's storyline.
I think that DmC will follow Dmc3 's ending where vergil is trapped in the true demon realm (not limbo)
and this is his journey through the demonic realm,
The name says downfall, so it must be a post DmC storyline

It could be both you know?
It could be that it starts with him in hell then recalling how he got in this mess, making you play his past and after that's over you play where he is now.

Exactly.

That's true, I wonder what that heart holds within it though. And that would make sense if this shows Vergil's home and adoptive parents being destroyed.

I think this is will be after the DmC story and the house on fire is either Vergil's memory or Limbo/ demon realm is mocking Vergil by showing him this scene to drive him crazy... Food for thought! However you could well be right! :)

Well I like your idea of Limbo mocking Vergil by showing him tragic events. That would be all kinds of badass.
